October 17, 2026: U.S. Amex Business Gold is tightening its 4x advertising and wireless categories—from February 17, 2027, advertising counts only when paid directly to named media providers, and wireless only when paid directly to named carriers. The card still offers up to 200,000 Membership Rewards points, 4x on top categories, 3x on Amex Travel flights and prepaid hotels, and business credits.
October 17, 2026: Chexy’s Help Centre confirms Chexy Cash top-ups accept Visa debit cards only—not Mastercard debit, prepaid, gift, or reloadable prepaid cards, including Wealthsimple. October 17, 2026: United has extended the Switch To Better Wi-Fi status-match deadline to October 22. Eligible U.S. residents with Delta or American elite status can still apply, then meet the 90-day spending requirement to keep Premier status through January 31, 2028.
American Express Canada will sharply restrict Fixed Points Travel from January 6, 2027: only Platinum-series and Centurion cards will qualify, and all bookings must be made by phone. Cobalt, Gold, and other cards will lose this option.

October 15, 2026: CIBC has posted the Aeroplan cobrand fee and benefit changes on its site. From January 12, 2027, primary cardholders get a permanent 15% discount on Air Canada flight rewards, plus a twice-yearly AC Wallet flight credit. Annual fees rise across Amex, CIBC, and TD cards.

October 15, 2026: TD Aeroplan cardholders can register for 5x points on selected streaming and subscription spend through October 13, 2027, capped at $750 per person. The same day, Chexy is offering an extra 1 Aeroplan mile per dollar on that card’s Chexy spend in the first year, up to $25,000, for applications before October 14, 2027.
October 15, 2026: Rove adds JetBlue TrueBlue as its 22nd transfer partner at 1:1. Through November 14, transfers include a 20% bonus, so 1,000 Rove Miles become 1,200 TrueBlue points. Rove is a universal-mile platform you earn by booking hotels and flights or shopping online.
