Terms of Use

Welcome to the PerkFox website at perkfox.me and the PerkFox App (together, the “Service,” “we,” or “us”). PerkFox continues the former 北美羊毛 / Beimeiyangmao brand. By using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms also serve as the App’s end-user license agreement (EULA).

The Service

The website publishes editorial guides on North American credit cards, points, miles, travel rewards, and deals. The PerkFox App also offers accounts, saved items, community chat, and paid memberships. Some App features require an account; some premium features require a paid membership. The website itself does not offer user accounts, comments, or a membership checkout.

Information on the Service is for general reference only. It is not legal, financial, tax, investment, or travel-booking advice. Offers, fares, loyalty rules, and issuer policies can change. Verify them before you act.

Accounts

These rules apply to PerkFox App accounts:

  • You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher age required where you live, to register.
  • Provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • We may suspend, limit, or terminate an account for a breach of these terms, abuse, or a security risk.

Acceptable use

When you use the Service, you agree to:

  • follow applicable law and these terms;
  • not post, spread, or help spread unlawful, infringing, false, or misleading content;
  • not harass, threaten, abuse, discriminate against, or harm others;
  • not send spam, ads, phishing links, or malware;
  • not impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity;
  • not disrupt, damage, or attempt unauthorized access to the Service or related systems; and
  • not use the Service for fraud, money laundering, or other illegal activity.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for abuse. After we find a violation or confirm a valid report, we may remove content, mute or block users, ban accounts, and cooperate with legal process.

User-generated content

The App may include chat rooms, comments, replies, and other user-generated content. You are responsible for what you post.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to store, display, distribute, moderate, and otherwise process your content in order to operate and improve the Service and to meet legal obligations.

You may not post content that includes, without limitation, pornography, violence, hate, discrimination, or harassment; content that infringes privacy, reputation, or intellectual-property rights; false or misleading information or malicious links; unauthorized ads or spam; or other material we reasonably consider improper or harmful.

We may, but need not, filter or review user content automatically or by hand. Filtering does not guarantee that every violation is caught. You can report users or content in the App and should include a reason. You can also block a user so their content no longer appears in your feed; a block also creates a record we may use for review.

We aim to take reasonable action within 24 hours of a valid report, including removing content, warning a user, muting, or banning. Complex cases may take longer. We will try to act promptly.

Subscriptions and payment

The App may offer auto-renewing subscriptions such as quarterly or annual memberships. Names, duration, and prices are those shown in the App and on the Apple App Store or Google Play checkout.

  • A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • Apple-billed renewals are typically charged to your Apple ID within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel under iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
  • Google Play subscriptions are managed or cancelled in Google Play’s subscription settings.
  • Refunds for store purchases follow Apple’s or Google’s rules.
  • We may change subscription prices. Material changes will be notified as required by the store and applicable law.

Intellectual property

Text, images, marks, interfaces, and software on the Service (other than user-generated content) belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or use them commercially without written permission.

Third-party content and links

The Service may link to issuers, airlines, hotels, and other third-party sites or services. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. You use those links at your own risk.

Some articles include short referral links such as /refer/chasefreedom/. If you apply for a product after using one of those links, we may earn a commission. The destination site has its own terms and privacy policy.

Privacy

How we handle personal information is described in ourPrivacy Policy. Using the Service means you agree to the practices described there.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that information is fully accurate, timely, or complete, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Travel, mileage, credit-card, and hotel offers can change. Official sources control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months, if any, or the minimum amount required by law.

Changes and termination

We may change, suspend, or end all or part of the Service at any time, and we may update these terms when it is reasonable to do so. We will give notice of a material change through the App, the website, or another reasonable channel. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada. Disputes should first be addressed by good-faith discussion. If that fails, they may be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction.

App store terms

For the PerkFox App distributed through the Apple App Store or Google Play:

  • These terms are between you and us. Apple and Google are not parties to them.
  • Apple and Google are not responsible for the App or the Service, including maintenance, support, product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual-property claims.
  • Subscriptions bought through a store are billed and refunded by that store.
  • These terms do not limit Apple’s or Google’s rights and obligations as store providers.
