Ping An Wanlitong is a rewards platform from China Ping An Group. It consolidates points from several Ping An subsidiaries—Ping An Bank, Ping An Insurance, Ping An Securities, and others—into one place to manage, earn, and redeem.

The programme positions itself as a broad points ecosystem. You can earn through spending with Ping An and its partners, then redeem for everyday purchases—or, for frequent travellers, transfer into airline miles and hotel points for higher value.

Wanlitong points generally expire three years after they are earned. They are also tied to your real-name identity and cannot be transferred or gifted to another account.

This rewrite covers the wider programme and current promos—not only Marriott, but airline partners too. How to earn points

There are many ways to earn: spend, use Ping An services, or simply buy points outright.

1.0 Buying points

For readers based in North America, the easiest path is usually Taobao. A typical price for 500,000 points is about RMB 950–1,000.

Image 1 is the Ping An One Wallet home screen—tap Points in the top right. Image 2 is the points home—choose Points Top-up. Image 3 is where I select Coupon Top-up. After buying Wanlitong points on Taobao, ask the seller for a top-up code and serial number, then redeem here. 500,000 points usually land instantly.

1.1 Ping An Bank (linked to prior-month average daily deposits)

Credit-card spending: points are awarded by tier based on the cardholder’s prior-month average daily balance in a Ping An Bank deposit account.

Instalments, repayments, and wealth products can also bring occasional bonus points.

1.2 Ping An Insurance

Buying Ping An insurance products—life, auto, health, and others—earns points based on premium amount.

You can also earn through sign-ins, health check-ins, and surveys in official apps such as Ping An Good Life and Ping An Pocket Bank.

1.3 Securities, Puhui, and other subsidiaries

Investing, buying funds, and completing tasks can earn points.

1.4 Partner merchant spend

Shopping through Ping An Good Life, the Wanlitong app mall, or partner platforms such as JD.com, Meituan, and Ctrip can also earn Wanlitong points. Some offers require a linked account or a dedicated entry link.

1.5 Everyday activities

App sign-ins, tasks, and draws all add smaller amounts of points.

How to use points

For North America–based readers, the main interest is transferring Wanlitong into airline miles and hotel points. Ping An often runs transfer bonuses—watch for them. Stronger promos will be updated in this article.

2.1 Transfer partners

On the Wanlitong points home screen in Image 2 above, tap Points Transfer to see partners. They fall into roughly four groups: international airlines, China domestic airlines, hotels and travel, and other.

Some partners have transfer limits, and points are not always posted instantly. Check the terms when you transfer.

International airlines

Note: some airlines charge a 10% fee on each transfer.

Hotels and travel

Note: some hotel partners charge a 10% fee on each transfer.

China domestic airlines

China mainland airlines almost never charge a transfer fee.

Other

2.2 Other redemptions

• Mall merchandise

Redeem electronics, appliances, supermarket cards, movie tickets, gift cards, and more in the Wanlitong points mall or the Ping An Good Life app.

• Statement-style spend offsets

Use points to offset purchases at selected online and offline partners such as Ele.me, Meituan, JD.com, and Vipshop.
When paying online, choose points offset: about 10,000 points ≈ RMB 10 (exact value depends on the redemption rules).

• Everyday services

Mobile top-ups, utility bills, fuel cards, and similar services can also take points. Some regions support transit-card top-ups and ETC payments.

• Premium services

Examples include health services (check-ups, dental cleaning, clinic appointments), travel services (airport lounges, domestic airport transfers), and golf privileges.

• Charitable donations

Donate points to charities supporting poverty relief, education, and similar causes.

At RMB 960 per 500,000 Ping An points, Cathay miles cost RMB 1,197 per 10,000 miles, or about 1.67 cpp USD.

See this blog’s Cathay award updates for Asia Miles needed on Toronto and Vancouver itineraries via Hong Kong to other mainland cities, then convert that into cash cost. For example, Vancouver–Hong Kong–Shanghai on Cathay business is roughly US$1,500.

Outside promos, another change: Ping An points can no longer transfer to Fliggy or K Points.

【June 7, 2025 update】 June promos were strong:

• China Eastern at half the usual rate: 32 Wanlitong points for 1 Eastern Miles (normally 64:1)
• China Southern transfer +80%: minimum 100 China Southern miles per transfer
• Air France / KLM transfer +20%: minimum 100 miles per transfer, plus a 10% fee
• Shangri-La Circle transfer +30%: minimum 50 Shangri-La Circle points
