⏰ Timing: This month’s Global Getaways award sale must be ticketed by October 10, 2026 (2 days left). Travel dates are January 15 to March 8, 2027. Ikon Pass redemptions close on October 21, 2026.

What is Members Day?

Atmos Rewards is the loyalty program Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines launched after their merger. Members Day is its standing promo on the first Wednesday of every month. It includes:

  • A limited-time award sale (Global Getaways)
  • Atmos Unlocked experience redemptions
  • Partner earning offers
  • Program updates

Global Getaways used to come out once a quarter. It now sits inside the monthly Members Day, so a fresh set of discounted destinations shows up every month. To hear about it first, sign in to your Atmos Rewards account, open Communications under Profile settings, and check “Monthly points statement and news.”

1. Global Getaways award sale (up to 50% off)

Ticket by October 10, 2026. Travel dates are January 15 – March 8, 2027.

These are one-way economy starting prices:

Destination One-way points (from)
Seoul ICN 20,000
Helsinki HEL 25,000
Munich MUC 25,000
Paris CDG 25,000
Sapporo CTS 30,000
Stavanger SVG 30,000

This month’s theme is cities where winter is the main event. All six destinations are in Asia or Europe. Seoul at 20,000 points one-way is the headline: a Korea award at that price, without a heavy fuel surcharge, is hard to beat.

How to use it from Canada

  1. Seattle is the easy start. Driving from Vancouver across the border to SEA is the usual play. Reports say most dates out of Seattle and Los Angeles have space.
  2. The return can take the sale price too. This round’s terms cover flights that start or end in the United States. The same wording has held for three months in a row, so it looks deliberate rather than a typo. A one-way from Paris or Seoul back to the U.S. can price at the discount.
  3. Stopovers are friendly. An eligible international one-way can add 1 stopover of up to 14 days, and a round trip allows 1 per direction. You could stop in Tokyo for a few days on the way to Seoul.
  4. Partner airlines count. That is the unusual part of this Alaska sale. It is not limited to Alaska-operated flights. Partner-operated flights qualify too. Air France Flying Blue Promo Rewards, by contrast, is limited to Air France’s own flights.
  5. Award tickets still earn status points. Tickets paid with Atmos points still earn status points, which counts toward your 2027 status.

⚠️ Note: Some routes that start in Canada also show the sale price. Vancouver–Paris via Dallas, flown by American Airlines, is 25,000 points one-way in economy. A cheaper way to Paris:

2. Atmos Unlocked: Ikon Pass redemption (until October 21)

  • 65,000 points → 2026–27 Ikon Base Pass
  • 100,000 points → 2026–27 Ikon Pass (the full pass, plus a $100 on-mountain credit)

Why this matters if you are in Canada

What Ikon actually covers in B.C. and Alberta is Cypress Mountain, Revelstoke, RED Mountain, SilverStar (new this year), Panorama, Sun Peaks, and Alberta’s SkiBig3, where Lake Louise, Sunshine Village, and Norquay share 7 days. The right way for a Canadian to use the Base Pass from 65,000 points is a multi-resort trip: 5 days at Revelstoke, 5 at RED Mountain, 5 on Banff’s three mountains, plus a trip to Japan. Day tickets for that can easily pass $3,000, and one pass covers all of it.

A few limits come first:

  • Ikon is not unlimited skiing. A Base Pass covers at most 5 days at each resort in a season. The full pass covers 7 days, with no blackout dates. The Base Pass has peak blackouts at some resorts: December 26–30, 2026, January 16–17, 2027, and February 13–14, 2027.
  • The real value is stacking resorts.
  • 65,000 points for a Base Pass (about $1,019 on the official site) works out to 1.57 US cents per point. The full pass is about 1.6 US cents per point. Atmos points are usually worth about 1.2–1.5 US cents, so this is a solid use if you actually plan to ski more than one resort this season.

This month’s Unlocked list also added some new experiences, including heli-skiing, a Pebble Beach golf trip, and a Nordstrom holiday shopping experience, as reported by travel-on-points.

3. Other things worth knowing

  • Points-purchase bonus: Alaska is running a buy-points bonus of up to 120% at the same time, about 1.71 US cents per point. If you are a few thousand points short of a ticket, run the numbers before you top up.
  • Atmos Communities bonuses: Seoul is a bonus-challenge destination for the Families on the Go community, and Helsinki is one for Global Locals. Members of those communities may get an extra bonus.

How can people in Canada earn Atmos points?

Atmos Rewards is free to join from anywhere. You can earn by flying Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and partner airlines, by buying points, or by applying for a U.S. credit card such as the 🇺🇸 Bank of America Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite Card.
