Frequent flyers spend a lot of time waiting for airlines to dump award space so we can lie flat on the way home. This post logs Alaska Airlines / Hawaiian Airlines business-class awards to Asia that have been released in bulk.
After Alaska completed its acquisition of Hawaiian, its network reached East Asia. Hawaiian-operated East Asia routes can now be booked with Alaska miles.

【August 29, 2025 update】Sep 2025 – Mar 2026, SEA–ICN both ways
Hawaiian’s Seattle–Korea flights used to cost 95k miles. They now cost only 75k plus a small amount of tax — Alaska miles stretch further. Plenty of dates (from now through next March) are available in both directions.

【May 13, 2025 update】July and August 2025, SEA–NRT
Alaska miles currently show Hawaiian-operated SEA–NRT business-class awards to East Asia on many July and August dates, with multiple seats per flight. One-way business class costs 95,000 AS miles.
Space is mainly United States–Japan. The return is especially thin.

Canadian cities that connect to Seattle include YVR, YYC, YEG, YYZ, and YLW, so you can transit SEA on the way to Japan.
Add a YVR segment and the price stays 95k; add YYC or YEG and it becomes 110k; from YYZ or YLW it is 150k.
