【October 6, 2026 update】 Air Canada’s Maple Leaf Lounge in YVR’s domestic terminal closes for renovation starting October 14. October 13 is the last day it is open, and it is expected to reopen in early 2028. Eligible passengers can use the two Air Canada Cafés in the domestic terminal in the meantime, one near C47 and one in front of gates C50/51. The international and transborder Maple Leaf Lounges are not affected.

Air Canada’s Maple Leaf Lounge in Vancouver Airport’s domestic departures area is on the route to the C gates, next to a lululemon store, so it is easy to spot. The lounge is directly opposite gate C29.

Its hours are:
Flights within Canada or to an international destination
4:30 – 23:30
** May 17 – closed at 23:00
** Mar 10, 24, closed at 00:15
** Mar 11, closed at 22:15

Because I was flying Air Canada and held an Amex Aeroplan Reserve card, I was able to access this lounge.

Location of the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge in domestic departures

The domestic Maple Leaf Lounge is on the route to the C gates, beside lululemon.

Enter the airport through the C-area security checkpoint and head toward the C gates. The lounge appears on the right.

Two views of the entrance to the Air Canada lounge.

After entering, you need to check in at reception.

At check-in, after showing the proof required for lounge access, you can take the elevator upstairs (below) or use the stairs (the following image).

Inside the lounge, there are simple hot dishes and salads.

The self-serve drinks area is decent. Canned and bottled drinks are available, and taking one to go in your bag is common.

Conclusion

A standard North American airport lounge: no surprises, but a place to sit, rest, and have a drink. Keep your expectations modest.
