Everyday Spending
3x: Eligible purchases made directly with Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations. Air Canada products purchased through other merchants, travel agencies, or third parties may not qualify for this category.
2x: Eligible dining and food-delivery purchases in Canada. This includes restaurants, fast-food restaurants, cafés, bars, and merchants whose main business is food delivery, but excludes grocery purchases.
1.25x: Other eligible purchases. Interest, annual fees, other fees, cash-equivalent transactions, returns, and credits are not eligible purchases.
Benefits & Insurance
- Fourth night free on Aeroplan hotel redemptions
When you redeem Aeroplan points for hotels, every three consecutive nights can earn an additional free night at participating hotels among more than 300,000 properties. Specific hotels and eligibility are determined by the Aeroplan booking page.
- Air Canada travel benefits
The primary cardholder and eligible additional cardholders can access Maple Leaf Lounges and Air Canada Cafés in Canada and the U.S. when departing on an Air Canada or Star Alliance flight that day. Each can bring one guest. The primary and additional cards also receive Air Canada benefits such as a free first checked bag, priority security screening, priority check-in, and priority boarding.
- Priority Pass airport lounges
Receive Priority Pass membership with the $99 USD annual fee waived by Amex. Lounge visits are still charged at the applicable rate, and you must call American Express to enrol.
- Pearson Airport benefits
At Toronto Pearson, use the Priority Security Lane, receive complimentary valet parking, and get selected discounts on Express Park, Daily Park, and Car Care Services.
- NEXUS statement credit
Once every four years, receive up to a $100 CAD statement credit when a NEXUS application or renewal fee is charged to the card.
- Annual Worldwide Companion Pass
Spend $25,000 in net purchases before your card anniversary to receive a companion pass. Your companion can purchase a fixed-base-fare Air Canada economy ticket, starting at $99–$599 CAD depending on the region, plus taxes, fees, and surcharges.

Travel Insurance
- Out-of-province / out-of-country emergency medical insurance
For insured travellers under age 65, eligible emergency medical expenses are covered up to $5,000,000 for the first 15 consecutive days of a covered trip outside your province or territory of residence.
- Car rental theft and damage insurance
When the full rental cost is charged to the card, vehicles with an MSRP of no more than $85,000 and rental periods of no more than 48 days may be covered for theft, loss, or damage. You must decline the rental company’s CDW, LDW, or similar coverage.
- Lost or stolen baggage insurance
When the airfare is charged to the card, lost or damaged checked baggage, carry-on baggage, and personal items in transit are covered up to $1,000 per trip for all insured people combined.
- $500,000 travel accident insurance
Charge the full fare for a flight, train, ship, bus, or other common carrier to the card to receive up to $500,000 in accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
- Trip interruption insurance
When a covered reason interrupts your trip, prepaid, non-refundable, and non-transferable unused travel arrangements charged to the card before departure are covered up to $1,500 per insured person and $6,000 for all insured people combined per trip.
- Trip cancellation insurance
When a covered reason requires you to cancel your trip, prepaid, non-refundable, and non-transferable travel arrangements charged to the card before departure are covered up to $1,500 per insured person and $3,000 for all insured people combined per trip.
Purchase Insurance
- Buyer’s Assurance Protection Plan
Charge the full purchase price of an eligible new item to the card to extend the manufacturer’s original warranty by up to one year.
- Purchase Protection Plan
Eligible items charged to the card are covered for accidental physical damage or theft for 90 days from the purchase date, up to $1,000 per incident.
