Highlights

  • Earn 2x United MileagePlus miles on qualifying United purchases, dining, gas stations, office-supply stores, and local transit and commuting.
  • Two United Club one-time passes each account anniversary; the primary cardmember and one companion on the same reservation get a free first standard checked bag and priority boarding.
  • Each year, qualifying spending can unlock United TravelBank, United Hotels, rideshare, car rental, Instacart, JSX, and FareLock credits—Chase’s site lists more than $600 in combined value.
  • Includes auto rental collision/theft, baggage delay and lost luggage, trip cancellation and interruption, trip delay, travel accident, purchase protection, and extended warranty.

Who it’s for: This card suits business owners who fly United regularly, can use the United Club passes and partner credits, and can concentrate business spending in a United MileagePlus account. At a $150 annual fee, the value is harder to justify if you cannot complete the partner-credit enrolments and spending requirements or rarely fly United.

Welcome Offer

【September 13, 2026 update】 Up to 110,000 United MileagePlus miles + 2,000 PQP:

  • Spend $5,000 in qualifying purchases within the first 3 months of account opening: 100,000 miles + 2,000 Premier Qualifying Points (PQP). After you qualify, miles usually post in 6–8 weeks; the account must be open and in good standing when the bonus is awarded.
  • Add your first employee card within the first 3 months of account opening: an extra 10,000 miles. Each account earns this bonus only once for the first employee card added, and that employee card must still be on the account when the bonus posts. Current cardmembers, or former cardmembers who received a new-cardmember bonus for this card in the past 24 months, are not eligible for this 10,000-mile bonus. If the account is not open for at least 6 months, Chase and United reserve the right to claw back the bonus miles.

Benefits & Insurance

  • Anniversary United Club Passes

After account opening and every 12 months while the account remains open, two United Club one-time passes are deposited into the primary cardmember’s MileagePlus account—usually in about 4 weeks. Each pass is for the primary cardmember, an employee cardmember, or one guest accompanied by them, and is subject to Club admission rules and capacity limits at the time of use. Passes cannot be sold, gifted, or transferred; lost or stolen passes are not replaced; and unused passes may be removed if you close the account or product-change.

  • United Travel Benefits

The primary cardmember and one companion on the same reservation each get a free first standard checked bag. The primary cardmember must buy the United ticket with this card and enter their MileagePlus number on the reservation; flights completed within the first 90 days after account opening waive the card-purchase requirement. Benefit applies only to United- or United Express-operated flights, not codeshares; oversized, overweight, and extra bag fees may still apply. The primary cardmember and companion on the same reservation also receive priority boarding before general boarding. Pay with this card for United or United Express inflight food, beverages, Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi subscriptions, and United Club premium drinks, and you get a 25% statement credit.

  • Annual Partner Credits

Each calendar year, complete five United flight-related purchases of at least $100 each to earn $125 in United TravelBank cash. Each account anniversary, the first two prepaid United Hotels stays of at least $50 each, booked directly, earn a $50 credit apiece. After enrollment, rideshare spending returns up to $8 per month from January through November and up to $12 in December, for a maximum of $100 per year. The first two Avis or Budget rentals booked directly through cars.united.com and paid with this card each earn $25 in United TravelBank, up to $50 per anniversary year. Chase’s site also lists a $10 monthly Instacart credit (up to $120 per year, through December 31, 2027), up to $100 per anniversary year back on direct JSX flight purchases, and up to $25 per anniversary year on United or United Express FareLock—each with its own channel, payment, enrollment, posting, and account-status rules.

  • MileagePlus Program Benefits

Book United or United Express award tickets in your own MileagePlus account for at least a 10% cardmember discount; Premier members may get a higher discount. This does not apply to other redemptions. After $25,000 in qualifying purchases each calendar year on this card, the primary cardmember receives two continental U.S. United or United Express Economy Plus seat upgrades. Certificates expire 12 months after issuance and are non-transferable. Earn 1 PQP per $20 in net purchases, up to 4,000 PQP per calendar year. If the authorizing officer is also the primary cardmember on a personal Chase United card, and both accounts are open and in good standing at anniversary settlement, you receive 5,000 anniversary bonus miles.

Official Guide to Benefits🔗

  • Auto Rental Coverage

When the primary renter initiates and completes the entire rental with this card and/or redeemable rewards and declines the rental company’s CDW/LDW, you can get worldwide collision or theft coverage up to $60,000, including substantiated loss-of-use, administrative fees, and reasonable towing charges. Continuous rental periods of up to 31 days are covered. In the United States, commercial rentals are primary coverage and personal rentals are secondary (primary if no other insurance applies). Outside the United States, coverage is generally primary; if a foreign rental agency does not allow you to decline CDW/LDW, this benefit is secondary to that coverage. Bodily injury, third-party liability, personal property, vehicles with an MSRP over $125,000, certain specialty vehicles, peer-to-peer / shared cars, and rentals longer than 31 days are not covered. Report an accident or theft within 100 days and submit documents within 365 days.

  • Baggage Delay Insurance

After you pay all or part of a common-carrier fare with this card and/or redeemable rewards, if a covered traveler’s checked baggage is delayed or misdirected by the carrier for more than 6 hours after arrival at the destination, you can be reimbursed for essential personal items—up to $100 per day for up to 3 days after the first 6 hours. Coverage is secondary. The baggage delay must first be reported to the carrier. Hearing aids, jewelry and watches, cameras and other electronics, business samples, and recreational equipment are among items not covered. File a claim within 20 days of the delay and submit required documents within 90 days.

  • Lost Luggage Reimbursement

After you pay all or part of a common-carrier fare with this card and/or redeemable rewards, if checked baggage, carry-on baggage, or personal items in them are lost, damaged, or stolen while in the carrier’s custody or during travel, you can be reimbursed for the difference between actual cash value (replacement cost less depreciation) and what the carrier pays. Coverage is up to $3,000 per traveler per trip, including a combined maximum of $500 for jewelry and watches and $500 for cameras and other electronics. Items left behind on the carrier, cash, tickets, documents, and furs are not covered, and you must report the loss to the carrier first. Then file with the benefit administrator within 20 days and submit documents within 90 days.

  • Travel Accident Insurance

After you pay all or part of a common-carrier fare with this card and/or redeemable rewards, a covered traveler who dies or loses a limb, sight, speech, or hearing due to a travel accident may receive a benefit. The 24-hour travel accident maximum is $100,000; the common-carrier travel accident maximum is $500,000. The loss must occur within one year of the accident. The 24-hour benefit generally applies to trips of up to 30 days; on longer trips it typically resumes only when the return journey begins. Illness, pregnancy, illegal acts, professional sports, self-harm, and war are among important exclusions. Report within 20 days of the accident or loss and submit documents within 90 days.

  • Trip Cancellation Insurance

When you pay all or part of the trip cost with this card and/or redeemable rewards, the cardmember, eligible family members, and business employees who cancel a trip for a covered reason can be reimbursed for non-refundable prepaid common-carrier travel costs, change fees, and rewards redeposit fees, among other covered expenses. Limits are $1,500 per person and $6,000 per trip combined, and never more than the amount actually charged or paid with rewards. Trips may be up to 60 days; coverage is secondary. Simply changing your mind, pre-existing conditions within 60 days before booking or the first deposit, carrier bankruptcy, border closures or many pandemic-related events, war, and unlisted reasons are not covered. Report within 20 days of cancellation and submit required documents within 90 days.

  • Trip Interruption Insurance

When you pay all or part of the trip cost with this card and/or redeemable rewards, the cardmember, eligible family members, and business employees who interrupt a trip for a covered reason can be reimbursed for non-refundable prepaid common-carrier travel costs, change fees, and rewards redeposit fees, among other covered expenses. Limits are $1,500 per person and $6,000 per trip combined, and never more than the amount actually charged or paid with rewards. Trips may be up to 60 days; coverage is secondary. The pre-existing-condition, carrier-bankruptcy, border-closure, pandemic-related, war, and other exclusion limits above also apply. Report within 20 days of the interruption and submit required documents within 90 days.

  • Trip Delay Reimbursement

After you pay all or part of a common-carrier fare with this card and/or redeemable rewards, if equipment failure, severe weather, a strike, or hijacking causes a delay of more than 12 hours or requires an overnight stay, you can be reimbursed for reasonable extra expenses such as meals, lodging, toiletries, and medication—up to $500 per covered traveler per trip. Coverage is secondary. Report within 60 days of the delay and submit required documents within 100 days.

  • Extended Warranty Protection

When you pay all or part of an eligible item with this card and/or redeemable rewards and have a valid original U.S. repair warranty, coverage extends for an additional 1 year after the original, store, and purchased service-contract warranties end. Original or combined warranties longer than 3 years do not qualify; from the purchase date, all warranties combined cannot exceed 4 years. Benefits are the lesser of repair cost, like-kind replacement, the amount charged or paid with rewards, $10,000 per item, or $50,000 per year. Only failures the original warranty would have covered are eligible. Motor vehicles, boats, aircraft, items bought for resale or rental, software, medical equipment, and used goods are among exclusions. Report a product failure within 90 days and submit documents within 120 days.

  • Purchase Protection

When you pay all or part of an eligible item with this card and/or redeemable rewards, if theft, damage, or involuntary/accidental loss of possession occurs within 120 days of purchase (90 days for New York residents), you can receive the lesser of repair cost, like-kind replacement, the amount charged or paid with rewards, $10,000 per item, or $50,000 per account. Coverage is secondary and can fill gaps left by other valid insurance, including deductibles. Animals and plants, antiques and collectibles, motor vehicles, software, items bought for resale, unexplained disappearance without evidence, items in a carrier’s custody or in checked baggage, cash/tickets, consumables, and used goods are among exclusions. Report within 90 days of the loss and submit documents within 120 days; some incidents may require an incident report within 48 hours.
