Welcome Offer

【September 13, 2026 update】 Up to 110,000 United MileagePlus miles + 2,000 PQP:

  • Spend $5,000 in eligible purchases within the first 3 months of account opening: 100,000 miles + 2,000 Premier Qualifying Points (PQP). Miles and PQP typically post in 6–8 weeks after you qualify; the account must be open and in good standing when the bonus is issued.
  • Add the first employee card within the first 3 months of account opening: an extra 10,000 miles. Each account is rewarded only once for the first employee card added, and that employee card must still be on the account when the bonus is issued. Current cardmembers of this card, or previous cardmembers who received this card’s new-cardmember bonus within the past 24 months, are not eligible for this 10,000-mile bonus. Benefits & Insurance

  • United Club Membership and All Access (United Club Card Membership and United Club All Access Membership)

United Club membership usually activates about 2 weeks after account opening. The primary cardmember may bring one adult guest and dependent children under 18 on each United Club visit. Employee cardmembers do not receive their own membership; they may enter only when travelling with the primary cardmember and under the guest rules then in effect. Star Alliance lounges are not included under the standard membership. If the primary cardmember reaches Premier Gold or higher in a calendar year, or makes more than $50,000 in net purchases on this card, they can unlock All Access. All Access cardmembers may bring two adults, or one adult plus dependent children under 18, and may access applicable Star Alliance lounges. When All Access and an employee card are both on the account at the anniversary, you can receive four one-time United Club passes.

  • Free Checked Bags, Premier Access, and Inflight Credits (United Travel Benefits)

The primary cardmember and one companion on the same reservation each get the first and second standard checked bags free. You must buy the United ticket with this card and enter a MileagePlus number in the booking; flights completed in the first 90 days after account opening waive the card-purchase requirement. Valid only on United- or United Express-operated flights; not valid on codeshares. Oversized, overweight, and extra bag fees may still apply. The primary cardmember and same-reservation companion also get Premier Access services such as priority check-in, security, boarding, and bag handling where available at the airport. Pay with this card for food, beverages, Wi-Fi, or Wi-Fi subscriptions on United- or United Express-operated flights, plus United Club premium drinks, and receive a 25% statement credit.

  • Annual Partner Credits

Each account anniversary year, prepaid hotel stays booked directly through Renowned Hotels and Resorts for United Cardmembers can earn up to $200 in statement credits. After enrolment, rideshare purchases earn up to $12 back per month from January through November and up to $18 in December, for a maximum of $150 per year. The first two Avis or Budget rentals booked directly at cars.united.com and paid with this card each earn $50 in United TravelBank, up to $100 per anniversary year. The issuer site also lists up to two $10 Instacart credits per month (up to $240 per year, benefits through December 31, 2027), up to $200 back per anniversary year on JSX flights purchased directly, and up to $50 back per anniversary year on United or United Express FareLock. Each credit has its own channel, payment, enrolment, posting-time, and account-status requirements.

  • Award Flights, PQP, Economy Plus, and Employee Cards (MileagePlus Program and Employee Card Benefits)

United or United Express award flights booked with your own MileagePlus account receive at least 10% Cardmember Award Pricing; Premier members can receive a higher discount. Does not apply to Money + Miles, cash tickets, or other redemption products. After $40,000 in eligible calendar-year purchases on this card, the primary cardmember receives two global United or United Express Economy Plus seat upgrade certificates. You earn 1 PQP per $15 in net purchases, up to 28,000 PQP per calendar year. If the authorizing officer is also the primary cardmember on a personal Chase United card, and both accounts are open and in good standing at anniversary settlement, you can receive 5,000 anniversary bonus miles. Employee cards have no additional fee; miles from employee spending go to the authorizing officer’s MileagePlus account, and the primary cardmember can set a spending limit on each employee card.

  • Roadside Assistance

This is a pay-per-use service, not insurance. There is no membership fee or pre-enrolment requirement; you can call 24/7 in the United States and Canada. Each service is covered up to $50, with a maximum of four services per year, including towing, tire changes, jump starts, towing an EV to the nearest charging station, lockout service, up to two gallons of emergency fuel, and standard winching within 100 feet of a paved road. The same type of service is limited to once every seven days. Amounts above the covered fee, and vehicles over 10,000 pounds, are the cardmember’s responsibility; remote off-road locations are not covered.

  • Auto Rental Coverage

When the primary renter initiates and completes the entire rental with this card and/or redeemable rewards and declines the rental company’s CDW/LDW, you get worldwide coverage for collision or theft loss up to $60,000, including substantiated loss-of-use charges, administrative fees, and reasonable towing. Continuous rental periods of up to 31 days are covered. In the United States, commercial rentals are primary coverage and personal use is secondary (primary when no other insurance applies). Outside the United States, coverage is generally primary; if a foreign rental agency will not allow you to decline CDW/LDW, this benefit is secondary to that coverage. Bodily injury, third-party liability, personal property, vehicles with an MSRP over $125,000, listed specialty vehicles, peer-to-peer car sharing, and rentals over 31 days are not covered. Report an accident or theft no later than 100 days; submit required documents within 365 days.

  • Baggage Delay Insurance

When all or part of a common-carrier fare is paid with this card and/or redeemable rewards, and a covered traveller’s checked baggage is delayed or misdirected by the carrier for more than 6 hours after arrival at the destination, you may be reimbursed for essential personal items. Coverage is up to $100 per day after the first 6 hours, for a maximum of 3 days, and is secondary. The baggage delay must first be reported to the carrier. Hearing aids, jewelry and watches, cameras and other electronics, business samples, and recreational equipment are among the exclusions. Report within 20 days of the delay; submit required documents within 90 days.

  • Emergency Evacuation and Transportation

When all or part of a covered trip is paid with this card and/or redeemable rewards, and a serious illness or injury during travel requires emergency evacuation or transportation, eligible expenses are covered up to $1,000,000. If death occurs during the trip, eligible expenses to return remains to the country of primary residence are covered up to $1,000. Covered trips must last 5 to 60 days and take you more than 100 miles from your primary residence. Expenses must be pre-authorized and arranged by the service provider or they will not be reimbursed. Travel warnings, sanctions, and locations with inadequate local infrastructure may prevent service. This is a third-party service; the official guide states it is not insurance.

  • Lost Luggage Reimbursement

When all or part of a common-carrier fare is paid with this card and/or redeemable rewards, and checked baggage, carry-on baggage, or personal items within them are lost, damaged, or stolen while in the carrier’s custody or during travel, you may be reimbursed for the difference between actual cash value (replacement cost less depreciation) and what the carrier pays. Limits are $3,000 per traveller per trip, including up to $500 combined for jewelry and watches and up to $500 combined for cameras and other electronics. Items left behind on the carrier, cash, tickets, documents, and furs are not covered, and the loss must first be reported to the carrier. Report to the benefit administrator within 20 days; submit documents within 90 days.

  • Travel Accident Insurance

When all or part of a common-carrier fare is paid with this card and/or redeemable rewards, a covered traveller who dies or loses a limb, sight, speech, or hearing because of a travel accident may receive a benefit. The 24-hour travel accident maximum is $100,000; the common-carrier travel accident maximum is $500,000. The loss must occur within one year of the accident. The 24-hour benefit generally applies to trips of up to 30 days; on longer trips, coverage resumes only when return travel begins. Disease, pregnancy, illegal acts, professional sports, self-harm, and war are among the material exclusions. Report within 20 days of the accident or loss; submit documents within 90 days.

  • Trip Cancellation Insurance

When all or part of the trip cost is paid with this card and/or redeemable rewards, the cardmember, eligible family members, and business employees may be reimbursed for non-refundable prepaid Travel Supplier costs, change fees, and rewards-program redeposit fees if a covered reason forces cancellation. Limits are $10,000 per person, $20,000 total per trip, and $40,000 per account per 12 months, and no more than the amount actually charged or paid with rewards. Trips may last up to 60 days. Change of plans, pre-existing conditions within 60 days before booking or the first deposit date, Travel Supplier insolvency, border closures or many pandemic-related events, war, and reasons not listed are among the exclusions. Report within 20 days of cancellation; submit required documents within 90 days.

  • Trip Interruption Insurance

When all or part of the trip cost is paid with this card and/or redeemable rewards, the cardmember, eligible family members, and business employees may be reimbursed for non-refundable prepaid Travel Supplier costs, change fees, and rewards-program redeposit fees if a covered reason forces interruption. Limits are $10,000 per person, $20,000 total per trip, and $40,000 per account per 12 months, and no more than the amount actually charged or paid with rewards. Trips may last up to 60 days; coverage is secondary. Report within 20 days of the interruption; submit required documents within 90 days.

  • Trip Delay Reimbursement

When all or part of a common-carrier fare is paid with this card and/or redeemable rewards, and a delay of more than 12 hours or one that requires an overnight stay is caused by equipment failure, severe weather, strike, or hijacking, you may be reimbursed for reasonable extra expenses such as meals, lodging, toiletries, and medication. Coverage is up to $500 per covered traveller per trip and is secondary. Report within 60 days of the delay; submit required documents within 100 days.

  • Extended Warranty Protection

When all or part of an eligible item is paid with this card and/or redeemable rewards and the item has a valid original U.S. manufacturer repair warranty, coverage extends for one extra year after the original, store, and any purchased service-contract warranties end. Items whose original or combined warranty exceeds 3 years are not covered; total warranty coverage from the purchase date cannot exceed 4 years. Reimbursement is the lower of repair cost, like-kind replacement, the amount charged/redeemed, $10,000 per item, or $50,000 per year. Only what the original warranty covered is covered. Motor vehicles, boats, aircraft, resale or rental items, software, medical equipment, and used goods are among the exclusions. Report within 90 days of product failure; submit documents within 120 days.

  • Purchase Protection

When all or part of an eligible item is paid with this card and/or redeemable rewards, and theft, damage, or involuntary accidental parting occurs within 120 days of purchase (90 days for New York residents), you may be reimbursed for the lower of repair cost, like-kind replacement, the amount charged/redeemed, $10,000 per item, or $50,000 per account. Coverage is secondary and can top up what other valid insurance does not pay, including deductibles. Animals and plants, antiques and collectibles, motor vehicles, software, resale items, unexplained disappearance, items in a carrier’s custody or in checked baggage, cash/tickets, consumables, and used goods are among the exclusions. Report within 90 days of the loss; submit documents within 120 days. Some incidents may require an incident report within 48 hours.

  • Return Protection

If you are not satisfied with an item within 90 days of purchase and the retailer refuses a refund, exchange, or store credit, and the entire item cost was paid with this card and/or redeemable rewards, you may be reimbursed up to $500 of the purchase price per personal item (excluding shipping, handling, and tax), with a maximum of $1,000 per account per 12 months. Coverage is secondary; you must first exhaust other recovery options. Items must be in good or near-new condition. Purchases made outside the United States, damaged or non-working items, jewelry and art, formal wear, food and consumables, software, motor vehicles, medical equipment, and real-estate-related items are among the exclusions. Report within 90 days of purchase; submit documents required by the administrator within 60 days of filing. You may need to return the item at your own expense.
