Everyday earning

8x: Eligible purchases made through Chase Travel earn 8 points per USD 1. Purchases arranged through Reserve Travel Designers qualify only when booked directly through Chase Travel. Purchases through FROSCH by Chase Travel, Valerie Wilson Travel by Chase Travel, or Frosch International Travel LLC do not earn 8x.

4x: Flights booked directly with an airline and hotels booked directly with a hotel earn 4 points per USD 1. If you book through the travel designers / agencies above, this rate applies only when the reservation is actually made directly with the airline or hotel.

3x: Restaurant purchases, including takeout and eligible delivery, earn 3 points per USD 1.

1x: Other eligible purchases earn 1 point per USD 1. Spend that receives the USD 300 Annual Travel Credit or the USD 500 The Edit credit does not earn points. Balance transfers, cash advances, cash-like transactions, gambling, P2P / account-funding, fees, interest, and unauthorized or fraudulent charges are not eligible purchases either.

Ordinary Chase Travel redemptions are worth USD 1 per 100 points. On select flights or hotel promotions marked Points Boost, Reserve can get as much as USD 2 per 100 points. Points Boost is a periodically refreshed, inventory-limited promotion, not a fixed redemption rate.

Benefits & insurance

  • Annual travel credit ($300 Annual Travel Credit)

Eligible travel-category purchases automatically receive a statement credit, up to USD 300 per account anniversary year. The year starts on the account-open date, runs through the first statement date after the first anniversary, then follows 12-billing-cycle periods. Chase uses merchant category codes to decide what qualifies, and the credited portion does not earn points. Credits usually post within three business days, but can take up to four weeks. If the purchase is returned, cancelled, or modified, or you close the account within 90 days of receiving the credit, Chase may claw it back.

  • Hotel benefits ($500 The Edit / Chase Travel Hotels / IHG)

Prepaid stays of at least two nights at The Edit hotels booked through Chase Travel can receive up to a USD 250 credit per stay, and up to USD 500 per calendar year. Spend that receives the credit does not earn points. Through December 31, 2026, prepaid Chase Travel stays of at least two nights at IHG, Montage, Pendry, Omni, Virgin, Minor, or Pan Pacific hotels can receive a separate credit of up to USD 250, also with no points on the credited spend. The primary cardmember can also link an IHG One Rewards account and activate IHG Platinum Elite through December 31, 2027; it can take up to about three weeks to take effect after linking.

  • Dining benefits ($300 dining credit)

Meals at restaurants in OpenTable’s Sapphire Exclusive Tables program can receive up to a USD 150 statement credit from January through June and another USD 150 from July through December, for up to USD 300 a year. The restaurant list can change, and Chase must recognize the charge as a direct purchase at a designated restaurant.

  • Subscription and delivery benefits

These include $300 in DoorDash promos, a $120 DashPass membership, a $300 StubHub credit, $288 for Apple Music & Apple TV, $120 in Lyft credit plus 5x points, and $120 in Peloton credit plus 10x points.

All of these are time-limited benefits, with activation conditions and end dates. Follow Chase’s current page.

Payments through a travel agency or application-assistance service do not. Credits usually take one to two billing cycles to post.

  • Emergency Evacuation and Transportation

This is a service, not insurance. If you pay all or part of a Covered Trip with this card or eligible rewards, the trip lasts 5 to 60 days, and you are more than 100 miles from your primary residence, a seriously ill or injured covered traveller can receive pre-authorized emergency evacuation/transportation arranged by the provider, up to USD 100,000. If a covered traveller dies during the trip, repatriation of remains to the country of primary residence is covered up to USD 15,000. Local first-responder services and costs not authorized and arranged by the provider are not reimbursed. Service may be unavailable in sanctioned areas, places under a travel warning, or locations without adequate infrastructure.

File a claim within 20 days of the incident and submit documents within 90 days.

  • Travel Accident Insurance

If you pay all or part of a common-carrier fare with this card or eligible rewards, an accident during travel that causes death or specified loss of limb, sight, hearing, or speech can be covered. Planned trips may not exceed 60 days, and coverage is secondary. Changing your mind and certain pre-existing conditions are important exclusions.

  • Trip Delay Reimbursement

If you pay all or part of a common-carrier fare with this card or rewards, and equipment failure, severe weather, a strike, or hijacking/skyjacking delays you more than six hours or overnight, you can be reimbursed for reasonable meals, lodging, toiletries, and medication, up to USD 500 per covered traveller per incident. Coverage is secondary. File a claim within 60 days of the delay and submit documents within 100 days.

Purchase protections

  • Extended Warranty Protection

The eligible item needs a valid manufacturer’s U.S. repair warranty, and you must pay all or part of the cost with this card or rewards. If the original warranty (plus any store warranty or purchased service contract) is no longer than three years, coverage can add one extra year after it ends, for a total of no more than four years from purchase. Limits are USD 10,000 per item and USD 50,000 per account; the payout is the lowest of repair, a like replacement, or the amount you paid. File a claim within 90 days of the breakdown and submit documents within 120 days.

Gifts may also qualify. Limits are USD 10,000 per item and USD 50,000 per calendar year; the payout is the lowest of repair, a like replacement, or the amount you paid, and coverage is secondary. Plants and animals, collectibles, motor vehicles, items in a carrier’s care, ordinary loss, normal wear, and cash are among the exclusions. File a claim within 90 days of the loss and submit documents within 120 days.

  • Return Protection

If a U.S. retailer will not accept a return, exchange, or credit on an eligible item within 90 days of purchase, and you paid the entire cost with this card or rewards, you can request reimbursement. Limits are USD 500 per item and USD 1,000 per account per 12 months, and coverage is secondary. Purchases outside the United States, jewellery, vehicles, resale/commercial goods, and consumables are among the exclusions. File a claim within 90 days of purchase and submit documents within 60 days of filing; Chase may ask you to send back the original packaging, instructions, and the item.

Each service is covered up to USD 50, up to four times a year, with no enrolment required. Fuel delivery includes up to 2 gallons. The provider can change or end the program.
