Louvre Hotels Group (LHG) is France’s second-largest hotel group. It sits under Jin Jiang International, with about 1,700 hotels in 70 countries (nearly half of them in France), covering everything from 1-star to 5-star. It has historically had no group-wide loyalty program. Joining Radisson Rewards in October 2026 is the first time LHG has had a real cross-brand points system that you can actually use.

Who is LHG?

Louvre Hotels Group (LHG) is headquartered in Paris La Défense, and it is Europe’s second-largest hotel group.

In March 2015, Jin Jiang International bought Groupe du Louvre and its wholly owned subsidiary Louvre Hotels Group from Starwood Capital for €1.3 billion. At the time of the acquisition it already had 1,100+ hotels, 90,000+ rooms, and a presence in 40+ countries. By the group’s own 2024 press-release figures, it is now 1,700+ hotels in 70 countries, still covering every tier from 1-star to 5-star.

In 2018 Jin Jiang also bought Radisson Hotel Group from HNA. LHG and Radisson Hotel Group are two siblings under the same parent. This “strategic alliance” (LHG joining the Radisson loyalty program in October 2026) is Jin Jiang connecting the membership systems of its left hand, Louvre, and its right hand, Radisson.

⚠️ A few notes:

  • France is the base. About half of LHG’s hotels are in France. Campanile, Kyriad, and Première Classe show up almost everywhere along the French highway network and in smaller cities. On a European road trip, these are the names you run into most often.
  • Golden Tulip is the international workhorse. It has a good number of 4-star properties in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, a solid upscale choice for both business and leisure.
  • Sarovar is a local Indian player. Premiere (upscale), Portico (midscale), and Hometel are basically only in India. You will see them on a trip there.
  • Golden Tulip was an independent Dutch hotel group until Louvre bought it and folded it in, in 2009.

The loyalty program: from none to Radisson Rewards

LHG has never had a group-wide loyalty program. The only thing close was a small Golden Tulip program called “Flavours” (points could be used for room nights, airline miles, and gifts). Its scale and coverage were nothing like Marriott Bonvoy or World of Hyatt. Economy brands such as Campanile, Kyriad, and Première Classe never had any membership program at all.

So when participating LHG hotels started joining Radisson Rewards on October 6, 2026, it was a zero-to-one change for LHG. A stay at these hotels can earn points in a mainstream hotel program for the first time.

How it works after the join

  • They go live in batches (see the table above). The Tulip brands, the Sarovar brands, and Hosho are already live. Première Classe follows on November 3, the Kyriad brands on November 24, and the Campanile brands not until January 12, 2027. Louvre’s rewards page does not list specific dates yet. It only says “* see the terms and conditions for go-live timing.”
  • Radisson’s terms apply across the board. The official terms say stays at participating LHG hotels are covered by the Radisson Rewards Program Terms. Earning, redemption, and elite-night credit follow the same rules.
  • Logins are connected. The login box on louvrehotels.com accepts “Email / Radisson Rewards number” directly, so an existing Radisson Rewards account can sign in. Registration and the terms links point to radissonhotels.com.
  • Differences during the transition. The official terms say that, during the transition, what each hotel actually participates in can differ by property, market, brand, and how far the technical connection has got. A hotel that is missing a feature right after it goes live is normal.

Earning rates (already published on Louvre’s site)

Rates are in three bands by brand tier, counted on the room rate in US dollars (Club / Premium / VIP):

Brand group Club Premium VIP
Royal Tulip, Sarovar Premiere 8 27 36
Golden Tulip, Kyriad Prestige, Sarovar Portico, Hometel 5.5 19 25.5
Tulip Hotels & Residences, Campanile, Kyriad, Tulip Inn 4 13.5 18
  • Elite thresholds: Premium needs 3 stays or 5 nights; VIP needs 20 stays or 30 nights.
  • Discount Booster: at some hotels, Premium earns up to 9 points per dollar and VIP up to 12 points per dollar.
  • Food and non-alcoholic drinks also earn points. Redemption starts at 10 points. Booking direct on the official site saves up to 10%.

Important limits (confirmed by the official site)

Louvre’s site is explicit: Première Classe, Kyriad Eco, Kyriad Direct, and Hosho give only a 5% member rate and do not earn points. Those four economy brands are participating in name only. Do not count on them for points.

A few other details are still fuzzy. Check again before you book:

  1. Economy and midscale brands do not get elite upgrades. Stays at Tulip Hotels & Residences, Campanile, Kyriad, Tulip Inn, and similar brands do not qualify for a Radisson elite room upgrade.
  2. Resort-only benefits are limited to Radisson’s own brands. Guests at LHG hotels do not get them.

In other words, at an LHG hotel Radisson Rewards is closer to an earn-and-redeem tool, and elite treatment is limited. That fits these brands, which are economy and midscale to begin with.

Background: how Jin Jiang played this

  • 2015: Jin Jiang bought Louvre Hotels Group for €1.3 billion.
  • 2018: Jin Jiang bought Radisson Hotel Group (formerly Carlson Rezidor) from HNA.
  • 2019: There were reports of a plan to fold Radisson Rewards into Jin Jiang’s own global membership program, with a start that summer. Nothing came of it.
  • October 2026: The reverse move. Louvre joined Radisson Rewards, rather than Radisson being folded into the Jin Jiang program.

There is a separate line on the Americas. Choice Hotels bought Radisson’s Americas business in 2022, and on July 18, 2023 the Americas version of Radisson Rewards was folded into Choice Privileges. The program LHG is joining is the international Radisson Rewards (EMEA, Asia-Pacific, and Brazil). Radisson hotels in North America, such as the Radisson Blu at Vancouver Airport, sit on the Choice side. The two do not affect each other.

What this is worth to you

  • European road trips and smaller cities. In France, Belgium, Poland, and similar places, Campanile and Kyriad are extremely dense. A stay there used to earn nothing. It can now earn Radisson points. Radisson Rewards redemption in Europe was already decent (a long list of Radisson Blu hotels in the Nordics), and there is now a much larger way to earn.
  • The Middle East and Southeast Asia. Golden Tulip’s 4-star hotels are an upscale alternative alongside Radisson Blu.
  • India. Adding Sarovar suddenly makes Radisson’s footprint there much thicker.
  • A caveat: if you mostly stay in North America, this news does not change much for you. Americas Radisson is run by Choice.
