Finnair Plus and Radisson Rewards have launched a partnership. The main pieces are a status match from Finnair elite into Radisson, and two-way transfers between Avios and Radisson points. Official partnership page 🔗

Finnair status can match into Radisson, not the other way around

The mapping is:

Per the official FAQ, matched status usually lasts two years. You apply through the Finnair Shop, and the names on both loyalty accounts must match. This is a one-way match from Finnair to Radisson. You cannot use Radisson VIP to match into Finnair elite.

Points can move both ways, but the rates are uneven

The minimum from Radisson to Finnair is 2,000 Radisson points. The site says transfers can take 4–6 weeks, and they cannot be reversed once complete. Two-way also does not mean you can round-trip without a loss: 3,000 Avios become 5,000 Radisson points, and sending those back leaves you with only 500 Avios. Those are the conversion rules.

Takeaway

If you already have Finnair elite status and you stay at Radisson, the status match is the part worth paying attention to. There is no extra bonus on transfers right now, so check the points a stay actually costs against the cash rate before you move anything. You do not need to stockpile hotel points just because of a promo email.
