- Visa premium travel benefits (Visa Infinite Privilege Concierge and Visa Airport Companion)
Visa Infinite Privilege Concierge can help around the clock with itineraries, events, and similar requests. After you enrol in Visa Airport Companion, you can use the complimentary lounge visits that come with the card and get extra benefits at some Canadian airports. Bookings through the Visa Infinite Luxury Hotel Collection can include that program’s hotel benefits. Visit counts, enrolment, and hotel eligibility follow the Visa program terms.

- Emergency health, trip, and baggage insurance (Emergency Health Care, Trip Cancellation or Modification and Baggage)
The card must be activated before you travel, the account cannot be more than 90 days past due, privileges cannot be suspended, and the annual fee must be paid. Emergency health coverage applies only to trips outside the home province or territory, up to $5,000,000 per person per trip: 60 days at age 59 and under, 31 days at ages 60 to 64, and 15 days at ages 65 to 75. Age 76 and over is not covered. If you go past the complimentary days without extending coverage before departure, the entire trip is not covered. Cancellation or modification before departure is up to $2,500 per person per trip. Modification while travelling has no maximum. The trip can last no more than 365 days, and the related non-refundable costs must be charged to this card. Baggage is up to $2,500 per person per trip. A single item lost or damaged by a common carrier is up to $500, and essential purchases after a delay of more than 4 hours are up to $1,000. Unstable pre-existing conditions, and emergency health expenses incurred without first contacting Assistance Service, can affect a payout.
- Auto Rental Collision/Loss Damage Insurance
The rental can last up to 48 consecutive days. The cardholder must rent an eligible private passenger vehicle in their own name, charge the full rental to this card, and decline the rental company’s CDW or similar coverage. Damage or theft can be covered up to the vehicle’s actual value. If you choose or are required to buy the rental company’s CDW, coverage is limited to that deductible. Notify the insurer within 48 hours of the loss. Trucks, vans, vehicles with a pre-tax suggested retail price over $85,000, mechanical breakdown, and normal wear are not covered, and only one rental is covered at a time.
Purchase-related insurance
- Mobile Device Insurance
A new phone paid in full with this card, or financed on a contract whose down payment and all monthly payments are charged to this card, can be covered for loss, theft, accidental damage, or mechanical breakdown during the coverage period. The payout is the lower of repair or replacement cost, up to $1,500 after depreciation and the applicable deductible. There is a maximum of one claim every 12 consecutive months and two claims every 48 consecutive months. Accessories, batteries, and phones used for resale or professional/business purposes are not covered. Get insurer approval before a repair or replacement.
- Purchase Protection
New personal items bought worldwide must be paid in full with this card and/or BONUSDOLLARS, and must be lost, stolen, or damaged within 180 days of purchase, before you can claim the lower of repair or replacement cost. Each account is capped at $50,000 a year, with some items capped at $10,000 each, and no more than the amount actually charged. Mail-order items that never arrived or arrived damaged, perishables, motor vehicles and their parts/accessories, unexplained disappearance, and normal wear are not covered.
- Extended Warranty
Eligible new personal items must be paid in full with this card and/or BONUSDOLLARS, and a manufacturer warranty valid in Canada must cover the relevant parts or labour. The original warranty is automatically extended to three times its length, for up to two extra years. Jewellery, gemstones, watches, furs, or clothing trimmed with fur are capped at $10,000 per item. Original warranties longer than five years, and motor vehicles and their parts/accessories, are not covered. Notify the insurer of purchase, mobile-device, and rental losses within 90 days, and submit complete written proof of loss within one year.
