Benefits & Insurance

  • Roadside Assistance Gold Plan

The primary accountholder must activate the plan on the official site with promo code TRIANGLE. Membership starts 24 hours after activation. You choose either a vehicle plan or a personal plan, and you can switch only in the first 30 days. You get 5 service calls every 12 months. Each call can tow one vehicle up to 250 km to a destination you choose (Canada or the United States), with a maximum of one tow per call. Tows to a Canadian Tire Auto Service Centre within that distance do not count against the 5 calls. Covered services include towing, battery boost, fuel delivery, lockout, tire change, and unsticking. Distance beyond the limit and extra services are billed to the cardholder.

  • Personal 24/7 Concierge Services

Around-the-clock help with tasks such as finding and buying event tickets or making reservations. This is a service benefit, not insurance. The official site does not state a separate usage or dollar cap.

  • Equal Payments, No Interest Financing

At participating retailers such as Canadian Tire, Sport Chek, Mark’s, L’Équipeur, and Atmosphere, a single eligible purchase of at least $150 before tax (gift cards excluded) can, if you request it and are approved, use a 24-month equal-payment plan with no interest and no administration fee unless that plan says otherwise. Each monthly instalment must be paid in full by its due date. If the statement minimum is not received in full within 59 days of the statement date, or another default occurs, the special payment plan ends and the remaining balance then accrues interest at the applicable regular annual rate.

  • Exclusive Offers for Triangle World Elite Mastercard Members

Cardholders can stack exclusive Bonus Offers with Triangle Bonus Days, Spend-and-Get events, and weekly flyer deals for extra CT Money. The official site does not publish a fixed bonus multiple, dollar amount, or set of eligibility rules for each period.

Official certificate of insurance 🔗

  • Car Rental Collision/Loss Damage Waiver Insurance

Applies to most private passenger vehicles rented for no more than 31 consecutive days. You must reserve with this card, present it as a payment guarantee before picking up the vehicle, rent in the cardholder’s name, decline the rental company’s CDW/LDW, and charge the full rental cost to this card. It can cover the actual cash value of a damaged or stolen vehicle, plus documented loss of use, reasonable towing, and administration fees. Only the first rental in the same period is covered. Third-party property damage and personal liability are not covered; confirm liability insurance separately. Vehicles with a pre-tax MSRP over $65,000, trucks, RVs, off-road vehicles, motorcycles, exotic/custom/antique/leased vehicles, and rentals longer than 31 days are excluded. If the rental exceeds 31 days, even the first 31 days are not covered. Report an accident or theft as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours; late reporting can lead to a denial or reduced payment. A police report is required when the loss exceeds $1,000.

  • Purchase Security

Only the primary cardholder is covered, and the full cost of an eligible new personal item must be charged to this card. No registration is required. Coverage applies worldwide for 90 days from the purchase date against loss, damage, or theft. The insurer may repair, replace, or reimburse the purchase price charged to the account. This card is excess coverage after other valid insurance, warranties, or protection, with a maximum liability of $10,000 per account per calendar year. Cash, tickets, plants and animals, vehicles and their accessories, consumables, used/refurbished items, items used for business, and normal wear and tear are excluded. Call the insurer as soon as possible after discovering a loss and before repairs, and no later than 90 days. Keep statements and receipts, and provide reports if asked.

  • Extended Warranty

Also available only to the primary cardholder. The item’s full cost must be charged to this card, and it must have a manufacturer’s warranty valid in Canada or the United States. For most new personal items, the original repair period can be doubled, up to one extra year. Coverage is automatic when the original warranty is five years or less; items with a warranty longer than five years must be registered with the insurer within one year of purchase. It covers parts and labour for mechanical breakdown or failure that the original warranty expressly covers. The limit is $10,000 per account per calendar year and $60,000 lifetime, and it is excess coverage after other available protection. Vehicles, services, business use, used items, consumables, plants and animals, plus abuse, failure to follow recommended maintenance, normal wear and tear, and inherent product defects are excluded. Claims must be approved by the insurer before repairs, and you must notify the insurer within 90 days of the loss.

Our take

As a no-annual-fee World Elite Mastercard, the towing benefit alone makes it well worth holding. It is also the only card here that lets you pay bills with no extra fee, which is another real selling point. If you need to pay property tax, utilities, or tuition, apply and put those bills on this card.
