Welcome Offer
【September 15, 2026 update】 70,000 World of Hyatt Bonus Points:
- Spend USD 7,000 on eligible purchases within 3 months of opening to earn 70,000 points.
- Current holders of this business card, and former cardmembers who received a new-cardmember bonus for this business card in the past 24 months, are not eligible for this welcome offer.
- The account must be open and not in default when you qualify. Chase says the bonus typically posts 6–8 weeks after you qualify; if the account has been open for less than 6 months, Chase and Hyatt may deduct the bonus points.
- Balance transfers, cash advances, travellers cheques, foreign currency, money orders, wire transfers and similar cash-like transactions, gambling, account-access cheques, interest, fees of any kind (including the annual fee), and unauthorized or fraudulent charges do not count toward eligible spend; returns or refunds reduce the purchase amount.
Past welcome offers
【October 18, 2023 update】 75,000 points:
- Spend $5,000 in the first three months for 60,000 points
- Spend $12,000 in the first six months for another 15,000 points
Everyday Spending
4x: eligible purchases at Hyatt hotels and resorts participating in World of Hyatt, plus World of Hyatt Experiences. World of Hyatt members can also earn up to 5 Base Points from the programme itself; Chase’s “up to 9x” includes that membership Base Point earn, not 9x issued by the credit card alone.
2x: fitness-club and gym memberships. The official site does not publish a cap.
2x: the three designated business categories with the highest spend each calendar quarter. Chase currently lists dining; shipping; airline tickets purchased directly from an airline; local transit and commuting; social-media and search-engine advertising; car-rental agencies; gas stations; and internet/cable/phone services. Each quarter is measured separately as January–March, April–June, July–September, and October–December; only the three categories with the highest spend that quarter earn 2x, and the other listed categories stay at 1x. The extra points typically post within 8 weeks after quarter-end, and Chase may publish a revised category list before a new calendar year.
1x: other eligible purchases. Categories on the designated list that do not finish in the top three that quarter also earn 1x. Balance transfers, cash advances and other cash-like transactions, gambling, account-access cheques, interest, fees, and unauthorized or fraudulent charges do not earn points.
Benefits & Insurance
- Discoverist Status and Upgrade Awards
The authorizing officer receives Discoverist while the account is open, not in default, and compliant with World of Hyatt terms. Status is written to the account within 8 weeks of opening. After opening, you also receive 5 Discoverist Upgrade Awards, which can gift Discoverist to up to 5 employees; gifted status lasts through the remainder of the calendar year in which it is granted plus the following 14 months. Employee cards themselves do not include Discoverist or related perks.
- 5 World of Hyatt Tier-Qualifying Night Credits for Every USD 10,000 in Purchases
Combined primary-card and employee-card eligible spend of USD 10,000 in a calendar year earns the authorizing officer 5 qualifying nights. The official site does not list a cap; spend progress resets on January 1 each year. Nights count toward the calendar year in which the spend occurred and typically post within 8 weeks after the last day of the qualifying month; employees do not receive nights in their own names.
- Up to USD 100 Annual Hyatt Credit
Each cardmember year, a single eligible Hyatt purchase of USD 50 or more can earn a USD 50 statement credit, up to twice, for a total of USD 100. Eligible spend includes Hyatt hotels and resorts, plus participating Hyatt restaurants/locations. The posting date of the transaction determines which cardmember year it counts toward, and the credit typically appears in 1–2 billing cycles. This is not an automatic annual credit with no spend requirement.
- 10% Bonus Point Redemption Bonus
After combined primary-card and employee-card spend reaches USD 50,000 in the same calendar year, points redeemed for the rest of that year on free nights, Points + Cash, room upgrades, dining/spa, or World of Hyatt Experiences receive a 10% point rebate, calculated on up to 200,000 redeemed points. Avis car-rental certificates and transfers to airline partners do not qualify; the related stay must be completed after you reach USD 50,000 and within that calendar year. The bonus typically posts 6–8 weeks after the redemption is completed.
- Hyatt Leverage Membership
The authorizing officer can enrol in Hyatt Leverage at no extra cost. The official site says standard rates at participating hotels can be discounted by up to 15%; eligibility, participating hotels, and rate rules follow Hyatt Leverage terms. Employees do not receive this perk automatically from holding an employee card.
- DoorDash (DashPass and quarterly non-restaurant order offer)
First activate between February 1, 2025, and December 31, 2027, and receive 12 consecutive months of DashPass on DoorDash and Caviar. Report the delay to the carrier before leaving the airport or station; file a claim within 20 days of the delay and submit documents within 90 days. Jewellery, cameras and other electronics, sports equipment, cash, and documents are not covered.
- Lost Luggage Reimbursement
If this card and/or rewards pay all or part of a common-carrier fare and checked or carry-on baggage is lost, damaged, or stolen while in the carrier’s care, you can receive secondary reimbursement for the actual-cash-value difference after the carrier pays, up to USD 3,000 per covered traveller per trip; jewellery/watches and cameras/other electronics each have a USD 500 sublimit. Report the loss to the carrier, file within 20 days, and submit documents within 90 days.
- Travel Accident Insurance
If this card and/or rewards pay all or part of a common-carrier fare and a covered traveller dies accidentally or suffers a defined loss of limb, sight, speech, or hearing while travelling, common-carrier travel accident coverage of up to USD 500,000 or 24-hour travel accident coverage of up to USD 100,000 may apply; if both apply to the same accident, only the higher amount is paid. - Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance
The current product page lists prepaid, non-refundable passenger fares of up to USD 1,500 per covered traveller and USD 6,000 per trip when a trip is cancelled or cut short by illness, severe weather, or other covered situations. Note that the public insurance certificate currently linked from the product page (marked effective 2024-10-01) does not include this coverage in its table of contents; this article therefore does not infer claim deadlines, a full exclusion list, or other details. Cardholders should confirm with the Guide to Benefits issued after account opening or by calling the number on the back of the card.
Purchase-related insurance
- Purchase Protection

The limit is USD 10,000 per item and USD 50,000 per account; this is secondary coverage, so you must claim first against other valid insurance or reimbursement sources. Used/resale goods, software, vehicles and their accessories, plants and animals, antiques and collectibles, cash and tickets, items in a common carrier’s care, normal wear, inherent product defects, and unexplained disappearance are among the exclusions. The limit is USD 10,000 per item and USD 50,000 per calendar year, with reimbursement the lesser of the repair cost, the cost of a like-kind replacement, or the amount charged/redeemed. Cars, boats, aircraft and other motorized vehicles and their accessories, resale or leased goods, software, medical equipment, and used goods do not qualify. Report product failure within 90 days and submit required materials within 120 days.
