Welcome offer

There is no welcome offer, and no public application.

You need to product-change from a lower-tier Chase Marriott card by contacting customer service.

Everyday earning

6x: Eligible purchases at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy earn 6 Marriott Bonvoy points per USD 1. This is only the card program’s own 6x; Marriott Bonvoy points from the hotel stay itself still follow Marriott Bonvoy’s terms.

3x: Restaurant purchases (including takeout and eligible delivery), airline tickets bought directly from an airline, and car-rental agency purchases earn 3 points per USD 1.

2x: Other eligible purchases earn 2 points per USD 1, including spend at The Ritz-Carlton Destination Club® locations, Charter Rewards points, and annual Destination Club membership dues.

What does not earn points: returns and refunds reduce spend. Balance transfers, cash advances, cash-like transactions (including foreign currency, money orders, wire transfers, cryptocurrency, gambling, and P2P / account-funding), checks, interest, fees (including the annual fee), and unauthorized or fraudulent charges are not eligible purchases. Third-party payment accounts and digital wallets may also miss the category bonus if they do not pass the merchant code for that category.

Benefits & insurance

  • Airport lounges (Priority Pass Select, Chase Sapphire Lounge)

Priority Pass Select for the primary card and authorized-user cards activates automatically. Each person may bring up to two accompanying guests per visit; additional guests are USD 27 each, and visits are subject to lounge capacity. To enter a Priority Pass lounge you must present the physical card or a digital membership card; a card stored in a phone wallet is not accepted. Chase’s site also lists complimentary Chase Sapphire Lounge access.

  • Anniversary Free Night Award

After each account anniversary, a standard-room Free Night Award is issued automatically. It can be redeemed at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels worth up to 85,000 points, and you can add up to 25,000 points. The award usually takes up to eight weeks to post, is valid for 12 months after issue, and cannot be transferred, extended, or converted back to points. Resort fees, parking, and other incidental charges are not included. The account must be open and not in default on the anniversary date.

  • Annual airline incidental credit ($300 Annual Travel Credit)

Up to USD 300 each calendar year, and only for non-ticket airline incidental purchases: airport-lounge day passes or annual memberships, seat upgrades, baggage fees, inflight Wi-Fi / entertainment, and inflight meals. After the purchase, the primary obligor must contact J.P. Morgan Priority Services within four billing cycles of the purchase date to request it. Authorized-user spend can count, but authorized users cannot submit the request. Credits are usually processed in 5 to 7 business days, and can take 1 to 2 billing cycles to show on the statement.

Personal experience: Getting this travel credit reimbursed is very straightforward. Small airline tickets, or airline gift cards bought directly for no more than $100, went through smoothly with customer service. I used a secure message, listed the small tickets as seat-selection and checked-bag fees, and received a reply the next day approving the $300 credit.

  • Gold Elite and elite nights (Automatic Gold Elite Status / Elite Night Credits)

Cardmembers automatically receive Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite each calendar year; first status can take up to about eight weeks to post. Benefits listed on the site include 25% Elite Bonus Points, 2 p.m. late checkout when available, and room upgrades. You also receive 15 Elite Night Credits each calendar year, usually deposited by March 1 into the linked Marriott Bonvoy account. In a given year a member can receive only the highest annual ENC tier among consumer Marriott cards, but can receive annual ENC from one consumer card and one business card at the same time.

  • USD 75,000 in calendar-year spend for Marriott Platinum status

  • Club Level and hotel spend credit (The Ritz-Carlton Club Level / $100 Hotel Credit)

Each account anniversary year includes three The Ritz-Carlton Club Level Upgrade e-certificates. Each certificate covers one room and up to two guests, for a qualifying paid stay of up to seven nights. You must pay with this card at a participating hotel, at a member / non-discounted rate, subject to availability at booking and several rate exclusions. Separately, booking and paying with this card for at least two qualifying paid nights at a participating Ritz-Carlton or St. Regis can receive a USD 100 hotel credit. You must book in advance. It cannot be used for the room rate, alcohol, taxes, tips, or third-party services, and consecutive stays at the same hotel do not qualify.

  • Global Entry Application Fee Statement Credit

After you pay a Global Entry application fee with an eligible Visa Infinite card, each card can receive one statement credit of up to USD 120 every four years. It usually takes 6 to 8 weeks to post.

  • $100 hotel credit

Book The Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis with this card for at least two nights; use it on other hotel spend, not the room rate.

  • Concierge and hotel Wi-Fi (J.P. Morgan Premier Concierge / Premium On-property Internet Access)

J.P. Morgan Premier Concierge can help 24/7 with travel, dining, and entertainment arrangements, but you still pay for any goods or services purchased through the service. The primary cardmember can get premium on-property internet access at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels; which hotels and which rules apply follow Marriott Bonvoy’s current terms.

Travel insurance

The detailed terms below were checked against the official Guide to Benefits effective June 11, 2026.

  • Auto Rental Coverage

If you pay the entire rental with this card or eligible rewards, and the primary renter declines the rental company’s CDW/LDW, you can get primary theft and collision coverage in eligible locations worldwide, up to USD 75,000, for rentals of up to 31 consecutive days. Coverage can include eligible loss-of-use, administrative fees, and reasonable towing. Bodily injury, third-party liability, personal belongings, CDW/LDW fees charged by the rental company, and several specialty vehicle classes are not covered. Report an accident or theft as soon as possible, and no later than 100 days, to chasecardbenefits.com or the Benefit Administrator; submit required documents within 365 days.

  • Baggage Delay Insurance

If you pay all or part of a common-carrier fare with this card or eligible rewards, and checked baggage is delayed or misdirected more than six hours after you arrive, you can be reimbursed for essentials up to USD 100 a day for up to five days. Report the delay to the carrier before you leave the airport or station. This coverage is secondary. Jewellery, watches, cameras, and other electronics are not covered. File a claim within 20 days of the delay and submit documents within 90 days.

  • Emergency Evacuation and Transportation

This is a service, not insurance. If you pay all or part of a Covered Trip with this card or eligible rewards, the trip lasts 5 to 60 days, and you are more than 100 miles from your primary residence, a seriously ill or injured covered traveller can receive pre-authorized emergency evacuation/transportation arranged by the provider, up to USD 100,000. If a covered traveller dies during the trip, repatriation of remains to the country of primary residence is covered up to USD 15,000. Local first-responder services and costs not authorized and arranged by the provider are not reimbursed. Service may be unavailable in sanctioned areas, places under a travel warning, or locations without adequate infrastructure.

  • Emergency Medical and Dental

The trip must be at least 100 miles from your primary residence, and you must pay all or part of a common-carrier fare with this card or eligible rewards. Sudden illness or accidental injury during travel can receive secondary reimbursement for eligible emergency treatment, up to USD 2,500 per covered traveller per incident after a USD 50 deductible. If a doctor says you should recover in a hotel after a hospital stay, you can also receive USD 75 a day for up to five days. Routine care, non-emergency services, travel undertaken to seek medical treatment, medical care in Level 4 Do Not Travel areas, and several high-risk activities are not covered. File a claim within 90 days of receiving treatment and submit documents within 180 days.

  • Lost Luggage Reimbursement

If you pay all or part of a common-carrier fare with this card or rewards, and checked or carry-on baggage is lost, damaged, or stolen while in the carrier’s care, you can be topped up to actual cash value after the carrier and any other insurance pay, up to USD 3,000 per covered traveller per incident. Jewellery/watches and cameras/other electronics each have a USD 500 sublimit. Items you simply leave on the carrier are not treated as lost or stolen. Report checked baggage within the carrier’s deadline, and report carry-on issues as soon as possible after deplaning. File a claim within 20 days of the incident and submit documents within 90 days.

  • Travel Accident Insurance

If you pay all or part of a common-carrier fare with this card or eligible rewards, an accident during travel that causes death or specified loss of limb, sight, hearing, or speech can be covered. Common Carrier Travel Accident coverage is up to USD 1,000,000 per person; 24-hour Travel Accident coverage is up to USD 100,000 per person. Only the higher of the two amounts is paid for the same loss, and the loss must occur within one year of the accident. Illness, pregnancy, illegal acts, racing, professional sports, and self-inflicted injury are among the exclusions. File a claim within 20 days of the accident or loss and submit documents within 90 days.

  • Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance

If you pay all or part of the trip cost with this card or rewards, and a covered reason forces you to cancel or interrupt, you can be reimbursed for prepaid, non-refundable travel expenses. The payout is the lowest of the amount you actually paid/redeemed, USD 10,000 per person, USD 20,000 per trip, or USD 40,000 per account per 12 months. Planned trips may not exceed 60 days, and coverage is secondary. Notify the travel supplier immediately, then file a claim within 20 days of the cancellation/interruption and submit documents within 90 days. Changing your mind, events that already existed when you booked, and pre-existing conditions are important exclusions.

  • Trip Delay Reimbursement

If you pay all or part of a common-carrier fare with this card or rewards, and equipment failure, severe weather, a strike, or hijacking/skyjacking delays you more than six hours or overnight, you can be reimbursed for reasonable meals, lodging, toiletries, and medication, up to USD 500 per covered traveller per incident. Coverage is secondary. File a claim within 60 days of the delay and submit documents within 100 days.

  • Travel and Emergency Assistance

This is a service, not insurance. It can provide medical and legal referrals, emergency translation, lost-luggage help, and other travel support. You still pay for any goods and services you actually obtain.

  • Roadside Assistance

This is a service, not insurance. In the United States and Canada you can call 24/7 for towing, a tire change, battery help, lockout, fuel delivery, or standard winching. Each service is covered up to USD 50, up to four times a year, with no enrolment required. Fuel delivery includes up to 2 gallons. The provider can change or end the program.

Purchase protections

  • Extended Warranty Protection

The eligible item needs a valid manufacturer’s U.S. repair warranty, and you must pay all or part of the cost with this card or rewards. If the original warranty (plus any store warranty or purchased service contract) is no longer than three years, coverage can add one extra year after it ends, for a total of no more than four years from purchase. Limits are USD 10,000 per item and USD 50,000 per account; the payout is the lowest of repair, a like replacement, or the amount you paid. Used goods, items without a U.S. manufacturer repair warranty, and original/combined warranties longer than three years are excluded. File a claim within 90 days of the breakdown and submit documents within 120 days.

  • Purchase Protection

If you pay all or part of a new item with this card or rewards, and it is stolen, damaged, or subject to Involuntary and Accidental Parting within 120 days of purchase (90 days in New York), it can be covered. Gifts may also qualify. Under the current Guide to Benefits, limits are USD 10,000 per item and USD 50,000 per calendar year; the payout is the lowest of repair, a like replacement, or the amount you paid, and coverage is secondary. Plants and animals, collectibles, motor vehicles, items in a carrier’s care, ordinary loss, normal wear, and cash are among the exclusions. File a claim within 90 days of the loss and submit documents within 120 days.

  • Return Protection

If a U.S. retailer will not accept a return, exchange, or credit on an eligible item within 90 days of purchase, and you paid the entire cost with this card or rewards, you can request reimbursement. Limits are USD 500 per item and USD 1,000 per account per 12 months, and coverage is secondary. Purchases outside the United States, jewellery, vehicles, resale/commercial goods, and consumables are among the exclusions. File a claim within 90 days of purchase and submit documents within 60 days of filing; Chase may ask you to send back the original packaging, instructions, and the item.
