Who it’s for: This card is no longer available to new applicants. It is more useful for existing cardholders who fly Hawaiian Airlines, can use the Companion Fare, two free checked bags, or inflight credits, and are willing to pay the $99 annual fee. If you rarely fly to Hawaii or cannot use these benefits, keeping the card may not be worthwhile.

【April 7, 2026 update】 Another new promotion is here. This time I was targeted to earn an additional 10x miles on spending between April 8 and June 30, capped at 2,500 miles. In other words, spending $250 is enough. Some people were targeted for 5x instead.

Be patient, though: the previous 2,500-mile bonus was extremely slow to arrive. I completed the spending requirement in early November, but 2,500 miles did not reach my Atmos account until March 8.

【November 6, 2025 update】 An email arrived today offering an additional 5x miles on spending, capped at $500. Check your inbox carefully instead of deleting it as a routine balance-transfer offer.

Register by December 15 and complete the spending requirement by January 31.

The grocery-store 2x rate plus the additional 5x means seven Alaska Airlines miles per dollar at grocery stores. Lovely.
