Chinese citizens travelling to Turkey can apply for an e-Visa. The process is straightforward: pay the fee and you are done.

Key points

  • Chinese citizen, ordinary passport
  • The e-Visa is valid for 180 days, with 30 days per entry
  • The visa fee is US$60, plus other processing fees of US$6 and about US$1.x (all in U.S. dollars)
  • After I entered personal details and paid, I received the e-Visa. The whole process took three minutes. Print it and take it with you
  • Apply at evisa.gov.tr/en/

Notes from this attempt

This is only what I ran into. I do not know how common it is.

  • I was on macOS. Chrome often froze and would not move to the next step. Safari was smooth
  • On the arrival-date step, changing it to my real inbound flight date also froze. The e-Visa is valid for 180 days and would still cover the trip, so I left the date as January 5 and continued
