Benefits and insurance
- Shell fuel benefit (Shell Go+ fuel benefit)
You need to link this card to Shell Go+. At participating Shell locations in Canada, fuel of any grade paid with a linked eligible Scotiabank debit or credit card gets an instant 3¢/L discount, up to 1,000 litres per month per payment-card account, resetting each month. Scene+ members earn 1 point per litre, plus 1 extra point per litre on Premium / V-Power fuel as a Shell Go+ member. The website values the Scene+ portion at up to about 2¢/L, using an average of about $10 in fuel per 1,000 points. The 5¢/L maximum assumes Premium fuel and this card linked to Shell Go+. The actual amount varies with the fuel grade, the pump price, whether the account is linked, and how you redeem Scene+ points. The website does not include gas-station cash back in that 5¢/L figure.
- Car rental savings (Avis and Budget car rental savings)
