The minimum income requirement is $150,000 personal income, $200,000 household income, or at least $400,000 in assets under management. Applicants who held or switched from a Scotiabank personal card in the previous two years, and Scotiabank employees, are not eligible.

Everyday earn rates
- Up to 6x: 3x on eligible travel, plus 3x on hotels, car rentals, and Things to Do booked through Scene+ Travel powered by Expedia.

Benefits and insurance
- $250 annual travel credit: in each 12-month period, the primary cardholder can receive a $250 statement credit after the first single eligible travel purchase of at least $250 CAD through Scene+ Travel powered by Expedia. Eligible bookings include flights, hotels, car rentals, packages, and Things to Do. After applying Scene+ points, the remaining posted amount must still be at least $250. The credit does not carry forward, and the account must be open, active, and in good standing when it posts.
- Visa Airport Companion: the primary and each supplementary cardholder can register for the DragonPass-powered program and receive 10 complimentary visits per membership year. The program covers more than 1,200 lounges. Additional visits are charged at the prevailing rate; the current listed price is US$32 per person per visit.
- No foreign transaction fee: foreign-currency purchases are converted without the usual approximately 2.5% fee, subject to the card’s exchange-rate terms.
- Shell Fuel benefits: linking the card to a Shell Go+ account can provide advertised combined value of up to 10 cents per litre at participating Shell Canada stations. Actual value depends on the card link, fuel, promotion period, and Scene+ redemption rules.
- Visa Infinite Privilege airport benefits: priority security, taxi-lane access, discounted valet parking, and dedicated parking benefits may be available at participating airports.
- Avis President’s Club: the primary cardholder can apply for complimentary annual membership, including two vehicle-class upgrades when available and counter-bypass pickup at most Avis locations. Membership can be cancelled if the account closes or is not in good standing.
- GigSky: two complimentary 1GB data plans per year, each valid for up to 15 days, plus 30% off later GigSky purchases.
- Relais & Châteaux: eligible bookings paid with the card can receive room upgrades, breakfast for all guests, and a VIP welcome when available. Reservations must be made through Visa Concierge or the designated program website.
- Visa Infinite Luxury Hotel Collection: bookings through the designated collection website or Visa Infinite Privilege Concierge can receive hotel benefits, including the program’s best-available-public-rate terms.
- Sandman / Sutton Place: registering for RSVP Rewards can provide automatic Diamond status; benefits are administered by Northland Properties and may change.
- Dining and entertainment: Visa Infinite Dining Series, selected OpenTable priority reservations, Canadian winery benefits, Toronto International Film Festival benefits, and selected Privé Club golf experiences are available subject to registration, location, availability, and program terms.
- Concierge: 24/7 English and French concierge service can assist with travel, restaurants, gifts, and similar requests.
Travel insurance
- Emergency travel medical: up to $5 million CAD per insured person per trip. Coverage is up to 31 days for travellers under 65 and 10 days for travellers 65 or older. Pre-existing-condition exclusions apply; contact the assistance provider before treatment in an emergency.
- Trip cancellation and interruption: when the full trip cost is charged to the card, cancellation coverage is up to $2,500 per person and $10,000 per trip; interruption coverage is up to $5,000 per person and $25,000 per trip for a covered cause.
- Flight delay: after a delay of at least four hours, up to $1,000 per insured person for necessary expenses when the full ticket is charged to the card.
- Delayed and lost baggage: delayed baggage is covered up to $1,000; lost, stolen, or damaged baggage up to $2,500 per person and $5,000 per occurrence.
- Rental-car collision and loss: pay the full rental cost in the cardholder’s name and decline the rental agency’s waiver. Rentals can be up to 48 days and the vehicle’s original MSRP must not exceed $85,000.
- Hotel burglary: full hotel or motel charges must be paid with the card; coverage is up to $2,500 per occurrence for all insured persons.
- Common-carrier accident: up to $500,000 per insured person when the full ticket is charged to the card.
Purchase insurance
- Mobile device: new phones and tablets paid for in full with the card, or paid through a qualifying wireless plan, can be covered up to $1,000 for loss, theft, mechanical failure, or accidental damage.
- Purchase security and extended warranty: most new purchases are protected against theft, loss, or damage for 180 days, and the manufacturer’s warranty can be extended by up to two years, subject to the insurance certificate and repair or replacement limits.
