Benefits & Insurance
- Corporate Mastercard card options
You can choose individual cards, driver cards, vehicle cards, department physical cards, or virtual cards. Virtual cards issue a unique card number for each transaction. Driver and vehicle cards can help control fleet fuel and maintenance spending. Each card can be limited by merchant group, merchant category code, named merchants, transaction amount, daily/weekly/monthly limits, number of transactions, and available hours.
- Mastercard Smart Data
Mastercard Smart Data can generate online reports and manage and reconcile expense data. Features listed on the official site include receipts, statements, expense reports, general-ledger codes, user management, and expense charts. Businesses can also view application records, activate cards, and update cardholder details in the Corporate Card Client Centre.
- Grace period
If you pay the balance in full within 21 days of the statement date, that month’s purchases do not accrue interest. Balance transfers and cash advances do not receive this grace period.
Travel Insurance
Official insurance certificate🔗
- Partial protections / Full protections
National Bank offers Corporate Mastercard Partial protections and Full protections as two different insurance packages. The official site confirms each package has its own travel-insurance and rental-car documents. A claim is payable only if the company is assigned that package, the insurance is in force when the incident occurs, and the certificate’s payment and eligibility rules are met. Before you apply, confirm with the program administrator or National Bank which package is assigned and the limit for each benefit.
- Vehicle rental insurance
The official site lists rental-car insurance as one of the official documents for both Partial protections and Full protections, but the product page does not publish a single limit, rental period, payment share, or exclusion that applies to every Corporate Mastercard program. Trigger, amount, deductible, and claim deadline therefore follow the official certificate for the assigned package. The official site does not state figures that apply to every Corporate Mastercard business program.
- Online transaction verification (Mastercard ID Check)
Mastercard ID Check verifies identity on online purchases to help prevent fraud. The official site does not mention an extra fee or a separate enrolment requirement.
