A large number of Condor business-class awards to Asia

Over the past year or two JetBlue has kept adding partners, including Qatar Airways and United. A few days ago it announced a deeper Condor partnership, which lifts the value of TrueBlue again.

The news

The announcement boils down to:

  • A bigger partnership: JetBlue and Condor are expanding the deal. TrueBlue members can earn and redeem points on Condor flights
  • Route coverage: Condor links nine major U.S. cities with Frankfurt, then on to popular cities in Europe, which strengthens the transatlantic network

For Canada, Toronto and Vancouver are Condor cities too.

  • Member benefits: you can search, book, earn, and redeem award flights in JetBlue’s own channels, which makes the awards much easier to use
  • What is next: Condor is due to move into JFK’s new terminal the following year, working even more closely with JetBlue

Award examples

You can already book Condor awards with TrueBlue on JetBlue’s site. A few things stand out:

  • Award prices are still added up segment by segment
  • From the east, YYZ takes fewer points and is a sweet spot. From Vancouver in the west, TrueBlue is weaker than Atmos
  • JetBlue has a habit of quickly repricing sweet spots (as it did with JAL business). If you want Condor, book sooner rather than later

Business 54,000, premium economy 34,000, economy 19,000 points. A strong award.

From Frankfurt, Condor’s European network can take you further, for example:
