【August 2026 update】 Could Wyndham Diamond members be getting free breakfast for two?

According to the Wyndham China elite-benefits page, Diamond members can choose either 500 points or free breakfast for two. The benefit appears limited to the 93 hotels listed on that page. Hopefully it will be expanded across the full group.

On a work trip or holiday, a complimentary breakfast is always welcome — one meal you do not have to think about. I am not a fan of Hilton’s US approach of a breakfast credit: it often does not cover the full cost, so you still pay a bit extra to “get” breakfast. This article sums up breakfast policies across the major groups, as a reference when you book:

  • Hotels with included breakfast — every guest on the stay gets free breakfast
  • Free breakfast for two for higher-tier elite members

Included breakfast for every guest is a real plus if you do not hold high hotel status. It can also be simpler for a family trip: even elite breakfast-for-two may not cover everyone.

Keep in mind that Hilton does not provide complimentary breakfast in North America. Higher-tier elites get a credit instead. The credit is small, so it often does not cover the meal. In Asia and Europe, Hilton’s breakfast-for-two is much stronger.
