The Chase Sapphire Lounge in Terminal 4 at New York JFK was renovated from the former Etihad Airways lounge and is operated through a partnership. In addition to Chase cardholders, Etihad passengers can also enter. This lounge did not leave much of an impression on me; among the Chase Sapphire Lounges I have visited, it was one of the more ordinary ones.

The Sapphire Lounge is next to the Centurion Lounge.

Comfortable seating.

For an early-morning connection at JFK, only a simple breakfast was available:

Fruit salad and smoked-salmon sandwiches.

Turkey bacon and hash-brown salad.

Waffles and eggs.

Coffee machine.

Juice and pastries.

Overall experience

Overall, it was fairly ordinary. When I went to the washroom, I found the shower room tucked into a corner inside. The washroom was small and tidy, but did not feel upscale.

When entering the lounge, the reception desk only swiped my boarding pass and did not look at my Priority Pass QR code. I am not sure why. Before leaving, I asked whether Sapphire luggage tags were available; I was told that this lounge had never received them.
