Apply on the official website🔗

⚠️ Before applying, it is best to keep some money in a Chase checking account—at least $250.

Eligibility: Current cardmembers, or previous cardmembers who received a new-cardmember bonus on this card in the past 24 months, are not eligible for this offer. Applicants must be at least 18 years old (19 in Alabama and Nebraska; 21 in Puerto Rico) and have a permanent home address in one of the 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or a U.S. military address. Chase may request supplementary documentation after application, such as a U.S.-issued driver’s licence and Social Security card.

Everyday Spending

1.5%: All eligible purchases. Returns or refunds are deducted from eligible purchases; balance transfers, cash advances and other cash-like transactions, lottery and gambling transactions, cheques that access the account, interest, unauthorised or fraudulent transactions, and fees including the annual fee do not earn rewards.

Benefits & Insurance

  • Automatic Upgrade Evaluation for Chase Freedom Unlimited

Each year, Chase automatically evaluates whether the account can be upgraded to the first Chase Freedom Unlimited card. The Rise account must remain open, have had a Rise-card purchase in the previous 12 months, have made on-time payments to all financial lenders during those 12 months, and have no Chase account suspended. Meeting the conditions does not guarantee an upgrade.

  • Credit Limit Increase

Chase evaluates Rise cardmembers for a credit-limit increase as soon as six months after account opening. Approval and the amount of any increase are determined by Chase.

  • Complimentary 6 months of DashPass

Activate for the first time between February 1, 2025 and December 31, 2027 to receive six complimentary months of DashPass for DoorDash and Caviar. It automatically renews at the then-current monthly price after the complimentary period unless you cancel. While enrolled, receive $10 off one eligible non-restaurant DoorDash order each calendar quarter; unused value does not roll over. This benefit is available only in the United States, and checkout must use the Chase Freedom Rise enrolled for the benefit.

  • 2% Cash Back Offer on Lyft Purchases

Earn 2% total on eligible products and services purchased through the Lyft app through September 30, 2027: the 1.5% base rate plus an additional 0.5%. Gift cards, car rentals, vehicle service centres, miscellaneous fees, and certain other Lyft products are excluded.

  • Roadside Assistance

This pay-per-use service is available in the United States and Canada, with no membership fee or advance enrolment. It includes standard towing up to five miles, tyre changes when you provide a usable spare, battery assistance or towing an EV to the nearest charging station, lockout help excluding replacement keys, delivery of up to five gallons of fuel excluding the cost of fuel, and standard winching within 100 feet of a paved road or highway. The standard service fee is disclosed before dispatch; charges apply for service beyond the benefit limits and in other circumstances.

Travel insurance

  • Auto Rental Coverage

Coverage applies when you charge the entire rental to this card and/or redeemable rewards, rent as the primary renter, and decline the rental agency’s CDW/LDW. It covers theft or collision worldwide up to $60,000, including substantiated loss of use, administrative fees, and reasonable towing; rentals may not exceed 31 consecutive days. In the United States, it is secondary when other auto insurance exists, but can cover that policy’s deductible; outside the United States, it is primary where available. Injury, third-party liability, personal property, diminution in value, high-value/exotic vehicles, and rentals over 31 days are excluded. Report theft or an accident as soon as possible and within 100 days, then submit documents within 365 days.

  • Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance

When all or part of a trip is charged to this card and/or redeemable rewards, the cardmember and eligible immediate family members are covered up to $1,500 per covered traveller and $6,000 per trip, no more than the amount actually paid with the card or rewards. It covers prepaid, non-refundable common-carrier expenses caused by a covered reason; trips may be no longer than 60 days, and coverage is secondary. Death, accidental injury or illness, severe weather, designated storm warnings, certain strikes, and military orders may qualify; a simple change of plans, pre-existing conditions, pandemic-related border closures or carrier changes, and travel booked for medical treatment do not. Report a cancellation or interruption within 20 days and submit documents within 90 days.

  • Travel and Emergency Assistance

While travelling away from home, you can receive 24/7 referrals or arrangements for medical, legal, emergency transportation, emergency messages, ticket replacement, luggage location, translation, prescriptions and important-document delivery, and pre-trip information. This is not insurance: the cardmember pays for medical, legal, transportation, cash-advance, goods, and other service costs.

Shopping insurance

  • Purchase Protection

For an eligible new item charged in whole or in part to this card and/or redeemable rewards, this covers theft, damage, or involuntary and accidental parting for 120 days from purchase (90 days for New York residents). The limit is $500 per item and $50,000 per account, and coverage is secondary. Report a loss within 90 days and submit documents within 120 days. Normal wear, unexplained disappearance, used merchandise, perishables or consumables, software, motor vehicles, and items for resale or business use are excluded.

  • Extended Warranty Protection

For an eligible item charged in whole or in part to this card and/or redeemable rewards, this adds one year to an original U.S. manufacturer repair warranty of three years or less. The original warranty, store warranty, separately purchased service contract, and this benefit together may not exceed four years. The limit is $10,000 per item and $50,000 per account; payment is the lower of repair, comparable replacement, or the amount actually charged to the card or rewards. Report a failure within 90 days and submit documents within 120 days. Motor vehicles, leased items, used items, software, medical equipment, and repairs outside the original manufacturer warranty are excluded.
