Welcome offer

[Updated August 21, 2026] The bank has not published a traditional current welcome offer.

The 5% Checking bundle is an ongoing account-linked spending promotion, not a conventional new-card welcome bonus. Its conditions are described below.

Apply through the official website 🔗

Everyday earning

5%: Turn on AutoPay for the Aven Rewards Visa® Card, then open an Aven Checking account and deposit at least $25,000 within 25 days of opening the Card account. The first $25,000 of Net Eligible Purchases each account year earns 5 points per $1, equivalent to 5% at the current redemption value. Purchases above the annual cap earn an uncapped 2 points per $1. This promotion began on August 20, 2026, and Aven may modify or suspend it at any time. If the Checking account fails to maintain a $25,000 daily minimum balance in any month, it is removed from the promotion and returns to the 3%/2% structure below. The website does not explain how an account can regain eligibility after removal.

3%: If you are not enrolled in the 5% bundle promotion but keep AutoPay enabled, the first $10,000 of Net Eligible Purchases each account year earns 3 points per $1, equivalent to 3% at the current redemption value.

2%: After the $25,000 annual limit under the 5% promotion, or the $10,000 account-year limit under the base 3% structure, Net Eligible Purchases earn an uncapped 2 points per $1 while AutoPay remains enabled. At the current redemption value, that is 2%.

0%: When AutoPay is disabled, Net Eligible Purchases earn 0 points per $1. Aven’s current Rewards terms also say that disabling AutoPay may automatically end your participation in the Rewards Program and automatically redeem earned points as a statement credit on the next statement. Whether turning AutoPay back on restores eligibility depends on the terms in effect at that time.

Net Eligible Purchases are purchases of goods or services made with the Card, less returns, refunds and credits. Cash-outs, balance transfers, interest, fees, unauthorized or fraudulent transactions, and transactions that violate the program or account terms do not earn points.

Benefits and account features

  • Aven Checking bundle conditions (Aven High-Yield Checking)

The $25,000 initial deposit and daily-balance requirement for the 5% promotion are separate Card-promotion conditions. The Aven High-Yield Checking page separately advertises 3.25% APY on the full balance, paid monthly. Its footnote says that rate was accurate on January 17, 2026, and the bank can change it at any time. The page says that interest and the Aven Visa Debit Card’s 1% cash back require direct deposits or recurring deposits totalling more than $500 per month through payroll, ACH, FedNow or Visa Direct, set up within 60 days of opening the account. Do not assume that the $25,000 deposit alone satisfies the $500 monthly-deposit condition.

  • FDIC insurance

Aven is a financial technology company, not a bank. Aven High-Yield Checking is provided by Coastal Community Bank, Member FDIC. Through that bank, the website says each depositor may receive up to $250,000 in FDIC coverage, subject to the applicable pass-through-insurance conditions. This protection applies to the failure of an FDIC-insured bank; it is not protection against investment losses.

  • Visa fraud protection / Zero Liability Policy

The Visa terms linked from the website say that Visa’s Zero Liability Policy covers cards issued in the United States, but certain commercial transactions and transactions not processed by Visa are excluded. Notify the financial institution immediately when you discover unauthorized use.

  • Free online credit score

The Aven app can be used to pay the Card bill, review account activity and monitor a credit score within the features shown on the website.

Aven’s official product page and the current linked materials do not list travel or shopping insurance. This article does not treat general Visa-network services as Card-specific insurance benefits.
