  • Load funds

BMO chequing or savings clients can transfer money in online or mobile banking; it is available the next business day. Other financial institutions can load by bill payment, below $1,000 per transfer, usually in 2–5 business days. The minimum load is $100, and the BMO maximum per load is $10,000. Cash, cheques, and merchant loads are not available. Funds on the account are not CDIC-insured.

  • Emergency help abroad (Emergency Cash / Card Replacement)

If the card is lost or stolen outside Canada, BMO can arrange a replacement card or emergency cash, up to US$1,000 or the remaining account balance, whichever is lower.

Eligible personal items or gifts must be paid in full with this card. Theft or damage worldwide within 90 days of purchase can be claimed for repair, replacement, or reimbursement. This benefit shares a $60,000 lifetime maximum per account with extended warranty. Business items, used or refurbished items, listed motor vehicles, consumables, and unaccepted mail-order or online purchases are among the exclusions. Report a loss immediately; written notice is due within 30 days and proof within 90 days.

  • Extended Warranty

The full purchase price must be charged to this card, and the original manufacturer warranty must be valid in Canada. Coverage can add up to one extra year after that warranty ends.
