Benefits and Insurance
- Airline Incidental Statement Credit
Up to $100 each calendar year. You must pay qualifying incidental fees on a specified U.S. domestic airline with this card. Examples include preferred-seat upgrades, change or cancellation fees, checked bags, in-flight entertainment, onboard food and drink, and qualifying airport lounge fees. Tickets, buying miles, mileage-transfer fees, gift cards, duty-free purchases, award tickets, alliance-partner fees, and fees that post together with a ticket do not qualify. Purchases with Allegiant, Spirit, and Sun Country do not qualify either. The transaction also has to be submitted with the correct merchant or service code. After you qualify, the statement credit usually posts in 2–3 weeks.
- Airport Security Statement Credit
Up to $100 per account every four years, for a TSA PreCheck or Global Entry application fee charged to this card. Qualifying transactions receive the credit in the order they post. The account must still be open, with active charging privileges, when the credit is processed. It usually posts in 2–3 weeks.
- BofA Rewards bonus (BofA Rewards™ bonus)
Eligible cardholders who join BofA Rewards can earn a 10%, 25%, 50%, or 75% bonus on base points, depending on tier. The bonus does not apply to the welcome offer, and it does not apply to special-offer rewards the bank has not expressly included.
- Premium Rewards redemption
Once the balance reaches 2,500 points, you can redeem for a statement credit, a deposit to an eligible Bank of America checking or savings account, a credit to an eligible Merrill Cash Management Account or 529 account, Travel Center bookings, or gift cards. Cash rewards are worth $0.01 per point, so 2,500 points redeem for $25.
- Points expiration
Points do not expire while the account stays open with active charging privileges. If you close the account, or the bank closes it for inactivity, you must redeem within 90 days of closure. If the bank closes the account for another reason, the points are forfeited immediately.
